We had a fantastic time in this B&B! Not that El Chalten wasn't relaxing enough, but it's in a secluded part of town to give you an even more relaxing atmosphere. They have very clean rooms and bathrooms, and common areas makes you feel like you're at home. It has an amazing view of the sunrise! Alfredo the owner, has... More

If you are looking to get away from it all, this is the place for you. The Estancia is located on the other side of the entry hills into the town of El Chalten, so when you gaze out the window or sit on the bench outside, you have the most peaceful view, with nothing to intrude upon your thoughts... The Estancia is a couple of miles out of town, but if you are there to hike it's a beautiful walk across the hills into the town where the trails start, and there are also superb walks down to the lake from the hotel directly. In the evenings it's the proprietor will run you into town and pick you up... More

This is a beautiful, friendly place ideally located for those that enjoying trekking but don't want to be in town. The owner (Alfredo) and his team make the location an added bonus ... not only is his advice on treks, restaurants, etc. spot on and his humour to be admired, but for a small fee (80 pesos) he'll take you... I spent 3 nights with my girlfriend here after "El Ano Nuevo" and the place was practically perfect. My only complaint is that we didn't stay an extra night or two! The Estancia is located just outside of town, so there's no distractions. In fact, after 12 AM (until 6 AM) there is no electricty, so there is very little... More

At first we did not feel very welcome on arrival. We had booked accommodation in La Quinta for a bit of a treat at the end of a month stay in Argentina. It was a more expensive room than we usually go for, so we expected an even better welcome than where we stayed along our Argentinian journey, which was... More

The hotel is clean. The location is not in the town, will need transportation into town or stay at the hotel for dinner. Since we were in a group, we didn't use look into transportation options. It is good location for the surrounding attractions.

We had a great time in El Chalten and specially at Estancia La Quinta. It's a very nice and confortable hotel "out of town" (easy access by car), so it's very quiet and you'll enjoy a wonderful landscape view. In my opinion, the breakfast is a bit disappointing (which is very often the case in Argentina) but the diner we... More
