Spent one night. Motel rooms on highway. Wifi non existent, unless we drove up a hill (ok it's the Yukon, but still... Maybe shouldn't be advertised if it is that inconsistent). If there is a lake, it can't be seen or found . Bed very uncomfortable; no fridge or even a coffee- maker in the room, unfortunately, especially since the... More

We absolutely LOVE stopping at the Spirit Lake Cafe on our trips between Whitehorse, Carcross and Skagway. The food is always incredible, delicious soup & sandwiches and the pie, don't even get me started on the pie!! We ended up buying a whole pie to take with us on our last trip. Homemade strawberry rhubarb with the perfect flakey crust.... More

Three week hiking/backpacking trip to Yukon/Alaska. Had reservations for two separate days (five days apart) so we could have a hot shower and a soft bed both before and after hiking the Chilkoot Trail. Room was decent enough, but no hot water in shower. Temperature was cold, although bathroom sink had hot water. Staff was friendly enough, but no solution... More

We stopped at the restaurant as part of the Yukon Scenic Drive excursion for our Carnival Cruise. The food was very good. I heard the tour guide arrange special meals for those who may have dietary restrictions. There were two different kinds of soups and two different kinds of sandwiches as well as salad and pie. The young guy who... More

We came across this motel/ restaurant quite by accident when we could not locate the owner of the cabin we wanted to rent in Carcross. We were out in contact with the owner of this place by a woman at the Carcross tourist office. We were a bit hesitant about the room we rented because it was quite rustic in... More

Here's a lodge and restaurant in the middle of nowhere and they are awesome. Great great food and service. These folks are as nice and hospitable as it gets. A roadhouse on the south Klondike Highway just north of Carcross, Yukon... serving breakfast lunch and dinner in a spotless facility. This family owned biz is a must stop. A varied... More

We booked this "resort" ahead of time in order to have a relaxing last night of our vacation. what a disappointment. There was no wilderness, no lakeside rooms, no breath taking views unless you count the fumes from the trucks rolling by on the highway. We tried to find the lake but to no avail. Fellow working said he hadn't... More

Restaurant review only. We were on an excursion from a cruise ship docked at Skagway, and stopped here for lunch. We tried the home-made soup, sandwiches, and apple pie, which were all excellent. Not fancy, but really fresh and tasty. The apple pie especially was as good as I've ever tasted, and cooked to perfection with just the right consistency... More

We didn't have prior reservations so were just happy they took us in. We found out that evening that the night we checked in was there last night. The room was what we have learned to expect from Yukon rooms. At least it was clean. The mattresses were thin and had not pad. So every time you turned or sat... More

We were a little uncertain when we arrived to claim our rooms which we had reserved sight unseen. This definitely was not the "wilderness resort" which was advertised. The lake was nowhere in sight, and despite getting directions from the desk we never managed to reach it. It seemed to be surrounded by aggressively posted private property. However since there...
