We had a lovely lunch out today at the Kelvin House, Glenluce today. We ordered lasagne (£5.95), Panini(£4.50) and fish and chips(£6.95). The meal was delicious and great value for money. I would definitely recommend you eat here :)

Stayed for a singleng in the area. Food downstairs was nice - pub-type fare. Room was warm and comfy - could hear pumping music from somewhere 'til late unfortunately - may not have been from the bar as that seemed pretty quiet I put my earplugs in rather than hunt out the source, so I have no idea when it... My partner and I had a meal here for his birthday and it was delightful. Billy the chef takes great pride in his presentation and presents good fresh cooking, this is served up by Claire who always takes time to chat and see if she can make your dining experience better. Go try it out, you will enjoy. Robin had... More

I stay here regularly for business purposes and cannot praise it highly enough. The staff are great, the welcome is always warm and the food is fabulous. On my last trip my boss stayed here too and was so impressed with the level of service and quality of food and accomodation for such a reasonable tarrif. The locals add an... More

Just returned from a great week at Kelvin House bed and breakfast. The owners Sharon and Carl are lovely and will do anything they can to help. The room was great and the breakfast was so good it really did set you up for the day. Would certainly stay here again next time we are in Torquay.

I was a bit apprehensive as the cost seemed cheap but I should not have worried. We had a huge room with a four poster and large en-suite. The hotel was clean and tidy and the staff were pleasant and helpful. There was a lovely atmosphere and I would definitely stay here again!

We visited this lovely hotel which we later found out was a Manse dating back to the early 18 century after being invited by the present owners Ian and Roseann. We met them while on holiday in Cuba back in Feb and could not wait to see them again. You could not ask for better hosts so welcoming and friendly... More

My Son and I were travelling to visit relatives in the Glenluce area and had occasion to stay in the village. Our hosts and their staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The sirloin steak, "blue", was cooked to perfection! Many thanks for your hospitality. Being in "the Trade" it is a pleasure to stay... More
