I had booked a pod for 2 nights recently directly with Sea Beds at a cost of almost 1300 for 2 nights to accommodate my husband and I and our son. For the cost I had high expectations. The pod itself was well set up with all mod cons. The outside area was decent too with lovely views though a road runs in front of the accommodation. However there were a few issues which I had not seen in any other reviews having researched the accommodation Firstly- there is no privacy at the front- the hot tub is framed with frosted glass but we had clear views into the 2 tubs at the 2 adjacent pods. -The midges were horrendous and we ended up indoors while it was still light-and bearing in mind this is a pod, it wasn't great to be stuck in-the whole pod was infested and our bites were bad. For 600 quid a night they could invest in a couple of midge eaters to try and keep the numbers down. -A fire pit is an optional extra though ours was provided. It's not really a fire pit- more of a raised bowl with the tiniest amount of wood supplied. We ended up foraging for wood to keep the thing burning for more than 20 mins- in fact the 2 young couples next door-who had a clear view onto our patio- called over to ask how our fire was lasting longer than theirs. As an optional extra for around £30 this should be a given and with a wood pile. -There is no cover at the pod front and so next morning it was very wet and the patio furniture was soaking wet- and still the midges were swirling- again rendering the outside area a no go area. -Breakfast was left outside in a little zipped container and consisted of 3 jars of yoghurt/cereal,3 pastries,3 slices of bread and there was milk, OJ, jam etc provided-basic but ok In my opinion this place is way overpriced and added extras on the site should be included at no extra cost There is no privacy and the accommodation would benefit from a degree of cover at the front. Be aware that the midges are horribly plentiful (being close to water and vegetation ). We left after one night and booked into accommodation in Fort William- we could not face the prospect of another lovely evening spent in a small pod.

What a treasure. From initial enquiry to check out everything was perfect. If you want somewhere to go to with the best of everything this is it. Absolutely stunning location which you could appreciate from the comfy sofa, huge bed or infinity hot tub. The attention to detail on equipping this lodge deserves more than 5 stars. The lighting, sound and heating systems are top quality, and this can also be said for the projector screen, amazing toaster and hair dryer. You know the saying “you get what you pay for” well this is definitely the case for the lookout. The rainwater shower with complementary products was just amazing. Continental breakfast and home make cookies were so tasty. Amazing place with fantastic walks and plenty to do. Highly recommend. We shall be back
