We recently eloped to the Lodge at the end of March and our day was truly amazing from start to finish. If we could give 6 stars, we absolutely would! The Location: Sitting on the edge of Loch Goil, at the centre of the Arrochar Alps, the lodge is somewhere you'd expect to find in a fairytale! When driving down to the venue, you are presented with some spectacular scenery and on arrival, something you'll instantly notice is how quiet and tranquil it is. Just what you want after the craziness of the last year! The staff: We honestly don’t know where to start with Alice, she is fantastic! There is nothing this woman can't do, or won't do for you, from getting you into your dress to making you laugh until you cry. Alice, Janice and Ian make you feel like part of the family. The stay: We stayed in the summer house on the evening, which was a lovely way to spend our first night as a newly married couple. It has gorgeous views to wake up to in the morning and the bed is super comfy! Enjoying your morning coffee out on the decking was equally amazing and a highlight of the day after. The treehouse: We cannot recommend the Treehouse enough. Having our evening meal here was incredible, especially with the fire crackling in the background and the sun setting over the loch. It is something we will, truly, never forget. We really do believe 5 stars isn't enough for the Lodge and its amazing staff. We were made to feel so welcome and every second of our day was so special. We are so grateful to Alice and the team for making it happen! Thank you all, we really appreciate everything you did for us while staying with you and the day you gave us! We hope to see you again soon! Sarah and Alex xx P.S. Special shout out to Skye, who was the cutest wedding guest in attendance ;)

We couldn't have asked for a better day for our small and simple wedding – and so much of that is thanks to the wonderful Lodge! The venue itself is like a fairytale, and Alice and wonderful Janice are simply magical too. Alice is a true pro and head and shoulders above the other options we considered. There are so many ways she contributed to our day, big and small, and we'll be forever grateful. She perfectly strikes the balance between creating a once-in-a-lifetime wedding day and ensuring everything runs like clockwork – from the marriage paperwork to the registrar, flowers, cutting cake, and anything else you might need. We weren't sure of all the moving parts needed for our day, but Alice made sure nothing was forgotten. She is by far one of the most organised and efficient people I've ever met, which put us completely at ease when planning our very short-notice wedding! The schedule for the day that Alice created fitted in everything we wanted, but was never stressful... if we were running slightly behind, that was never an issue. Everything was perfectly arranged to fit exactly around us – and that is something you can't put a price on. We had one guest with us, and she had a fantastic time and was treated just as wonderfully as the two of us. As an exclusive-use venue, it's the ideal intimate setting to spend time with loved ones, and Janice and Alice took such good care of us. The food was incredible, and the vegetarian tasting menu in particular was so deliciously imaginative. From prosecco topups to whisky for our quaich ceremony (and a hot water bottle for our photo shoot!), there were so many thoughtful touches that made us feel so welcome. I got ready in the beautiful bridal suite, while my partner got ready in the Summerhouse - where we also stayed, waking up to the waves of the lochs and oystercatchers on our veranda. The bridal suite is more comfortable and spacious, but we loved being closer to nature, and to have the choice of either was superb. We had the fantastic Neil Thomas Douglas as our photographer, who went with us for stunning photos near the Rest and Be Thankful as part of our shoot. You can also get so many incredible photos from the venue itself, from the stunning treehouse where we had our ceremony to the summerhouse and loch (where we even went wild swimming!) Our wedding day fitted both of us perfectly, as people who adore nature, simplicity, adventure, and doing things differently. There's nothing we would've changed and we're so grateful there was availability for our day. There's a reason the Lodge has so many 5* reviews!

Thank you Lucy and Iain for your lovely words. We are so happy that you had such a magical wedding day here at the Lodge on Loch Goil on 11th March 2021. Its such a shame that you never had your family with you on the day, due to so many restrictions, but I have to say you both looked amazing. I cant believe you went into the Loch swimming on the wedding afternoon, your both so brave. Good luck to you in your future plans to travel to Europe to start married life together.. Regards Alice and Janice

We have just got back from our elopement at the Lodge. It was a truly magical experience and completely exceeded our expectations. When planning our wedding the communication with Alice was excellent. We booked our wedding in the middle of the pandemic and Alice was a constant reassurance throughout. We did postpone our original date and Alice could not have been more helpful. We wanted a relaxed experience where we could be ourselves. We were completely at ease from the minute we got there and were made to feel so welcome. Alice and Janice could not have done more for us during our stay and they really did think of everything. Everything was perfect, the food was delightful and Alice made some excellent recommendations for things to try whilst we were there. Our wedding day was amazing - even the sideways rain! It could not have gone any better, it was such a personal experience and so full of love. We had David Grant Simpson as our photographer - just amazing. Laura Gray for hair and makeup - I cannot tell you how great she is and Samantha put together the most beautiful ceremony for us. Alice and Janice were our witnesses and braved the very stormy weather so that we could eat our meal in the tree house!! In all we were so lucky to have such a wonderful bunch of people as part of our very special day! Alice has so much experience and made sure everything ran seamlessly. We didn’t have to worry about a thing - it was all taken care of. The Lodge itself is stunning - all of it and it has to be seen to be believed, it’s like stepping into a fairy tale.

Dear Christie and Martin, Thank you so much for your lovely words, your wedding on Tuesday 9th March was truly amazing. You both looked stunning on your wedding day. I was so amazed that you decided to try our chefs tasting menu and trying things that you have never tasted before, its so exciting. Massive brownie points to you both.... One of the most important things to us as a business, is to make people feel safe and comfortable on their wedding day, especially during these difficult times. When you said that you would never know that there was a pandemic in the world as everything seems so normal here at the Lodge, well that's what we have and still are striving to do on a daily basis. I have to say you were one of the nicest couples we have had the pleasure of meeting, and cant wait to see you next year for your 1st wedding anniversary. Stay Safe Warmest Regards Alice, Iain and Janice xx

Our love story is simple, I met my wonderful husband Gerry 23 years ago while working on cruise ships. We fell in love and 3 years later and we had our loving and handsome son Massimo who was born in 2001. Ever since then Massimo has been the shining light and the love that has filled our hearts to get us to where we are now. I am so happy we waited because it was the best day of our lives together as a family and it was all made possible by the kindness and love of my beautiful sister Alice, my kind-hearted brother Iain and my loving handsome nephew Luke. Alice, Iain and Luke where fantastic in every way leaving no stone un-turned in their preparations for our ‘big fat Scottish wedding day’. Every single detail was taken care of with the greatest consideration for all our needs from beginning to end. Their kind professionalism and warmth was endless and outstanding every step of the way with their incredible knowledge and know-how of the wedding industry making all our worries and woes melt away. They are the hardest working people we know and their kindness and generosity has been overwhelming and we will always be grateful for what they did for us. They light up our hearts with love and appreciation for their benevolence to us forever. My review is a dedication to them. Alice arranged an intimate elopement which we loved and followed every safety protocol regarding the law and the pandemic.

We recently got married here as an elopement and had the most perfect day. Alice and her team made us feel so welcome and thanks to them our day was very relaxed and ran seamlessly. We got married in the treehouse and had dinner there later. We stayed in the summer house and had a room each in the Lodge to get ready in so we really did get to make use of it all. The setting is just stunning and the treehouse is so special and unique. The food was fantastic, the grounds are beautiful and the views are amazing. We couldn't recommend the Lodge highly enough. Thank you to Alice, Janice, Iain and Luke for making our day so magical!

Good Afternoon Cameron and Debbie Thank you for your lovely review on your elopement wedding ( 18th February 2021 ) It was a complete pleasure working with you over the past 6 months to make your wedding day so special and magical as you dreamed it could be. Its was a great pleasure for us as a business that you were very impressed, and said many times, how safe you felt and how normal it was on the day even though there is a world pandemic. Thats it what we have always strived for over the past 12 months, to make sure that all of our guests feel safe and secure especially during these difficult times. Enjoy married life, and hopefully we will see you next year for your wedding anniversary. Warmest Regards Alice, Iain and all the team here at the Lodge on Loch Goil x
