Our bubbly hostess, Dilly, lead us through her restored 17th century home, past the Dachshunds sleeping soundly by the Aga and up to our beautifully decorated room where our big windows looked out upon horses trotting by on the tiny lane and sheep grazing in the pastures. Full cold or cooked breakfast--delicious. Perfect walk straight from Damson Cottage to Lacock,...

This is a really lovely place to stay. My family and I stayed here for one night as my daughter was in the Lacock 10k race. We arrived about 4pm and was immediately asked it we would like a cup of tea which Dilly (the owner) as it was a lovely day we sat in the garden. Dilly and James...

Coming from London, a great location in the countryside to stay while exploring the surrounding area - HIghclere, Castle Combe, Lacock, Bath, Highgrove, Bradford -On-Avon etc. DIlly was a very welcoming host - and a great cook, supplying whatever we wanted for breakfast. This is a country family home, not a posh hotel, and we thought it was ideal. We...

This beautiful cottage lies a 15 minute walk across lovely countryside from Lacock. James and Tilly were lovely hosts and our room very comfortable, slept like a log. There are 3 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms so although not en suite, perfectly adequate. The breakfast was scrumptious. Will certainly try to go back for a longer visit as it is perfectly...

From the moment we arrived Dilly and James could not have been more friendly. This is a beautiful gem of a cottage in the idyllic Wiltshire countryside. The rooms were comfortable and the service was great. A fabulous breakfast was served in the morning. The star of the show was the little sausage dog, called Fred. He was adorable. The...

Quintessentially English cottage and surrounding area! We (me, husband and 5 year old daughter) stayed here for 3 nights and the hosts were wonderful. We explored Lacock village (only 10 min walk) and surrounding area (day trip to Bath). Breakfast was great. Room was very spacious for the 3 of us.

Our family spent a lovely night with Dilly, the wonderful hostess in this cosy Bed and Breakfast. The rooms are comfy and beautifully decorated. The breakfast was vast - you wouldn't need to eat again all day! Go, rest, enjoy.

I spent a wonderful weekend at Damson Cottage for a weekend in July with my husband and six year-old son and my best friend and her husband and children. We all wished we could have stayed much longer. The (large!) cottage is dreamy - a perfect, English country retreat, beautiful rooms and the best and most generous breakfast I've ever...

Just stayed one night well visiting old friends. The owners made a special effort to get me checked in early so i didnt miss out too. This is the style of b&b where you are made to feel like you are guest in the spare room which is always nice. Room was great, clean and tidy and well equipped. Bathroom...
