Food was ok but I was surprised when a sandwich, baked potato and two soft drinks came to nearly £15. Clean and tidy and staff friendly. The cafe is in a good position on the main road through Minehead.

Stayed here one night whilst passing through the area. The hotel stands proud above the harbour and is surrounded by gardens. Very friendly lady [?owner/manageress] dealt with my arrival efficiently. My room was large with views of the garden. En-suite shower. The furniture was a little dated but the bed very comfortable. There was a rather poor selection of teas/coffees...

I spend a night here recently and despite the name 'Cafe' this is far more a 'proper' hotel. The room I had had an unusual layout but this was not a problem. The room had all the expected facilities and included free wi-fi. The bed was very comfortable and I had a good night's sleep. One thing, I had no...

We stayed just one night but wish it were longer. A very friendly comfortable place, our room had an uninterrupted view across to the harbour, it was also very peaceful, breakfast is offered at a really sensible time, and our evening meal was delicious, if you are visiting the area stay there

Lovely drive down to porlock and its surrounding coastal area But be careful as I temporarily grounded my car on one of its narrow roads. As people have pointed out the caf'e is a little dated. We had a large bedroom that was clean and tidy with sea views , bathroom , again clean and tidy, but I think they're...

It was lovely to find a warm and welcoming Inn on the Somerset coast. It's a delightful location, down the hill from Porlock Village right on the sea. The food was first class, the room was cozy and the bed super comfortable. The staff are lovely and if you want a change there's an old-style pub just across the way.

We have just returned from an overnight stay at The Cafe, having had a 5 year gap since the last visit. We have been going to the Cafe for many years now, and have always had great visits, and tremendous food, and we did wonder if in the interim, things could have changed, especially reading some of the reviews. Well,...

The location of The Café at Porlock Weir is delightful and our bedroom window made the most of the views of Porlock Weir, Bossington Beach, Selworthy Beacon and across the channel to South Wales ....... lovely weather helped. The bedroom was huge and nicely done with a four poster bed. It's also a great location for exploring the surrounding area...

Nice little hotel. Could do with a makeover. Everything a tad bit old fashioned and beige. However rooms (size) and views certainly more than compensate. This is a great base for walking and general touring of the coast. Or just to while away a few hours drinking coffee and watching life go by what's not to love.
