We have visited this establishment over several years at about this time, travelling from Chester. We meet my dad from Hereford and my sister and family from South Wales. As always a warm welcome, including from the landlady. Most of our party went for the roast beef, whilst our young niece had the childs beans, chip and sausages, the present Mrs Small...

Just come back from staying at the Bucks Head, only for one night. Our room for was lovely and very spacious with a bath and shower (which is unusual in old buildings) so I would really recommend highly room 103. Breakfast was fab - large full English which was piping hot. We had a meal in the bar area the...

This pub has nice décor and is very comfortable. We didn't stay at the hotel. They have a good choice of drinks including about four real ales. The food smells good but we didn't eat here. There is a very good outdoor covered seating area with heating. There is also an uncovered area on the lawn Friendly and attentive staff.

I stayed at this hotel whilst walking the Shropshire Way. All staff were brilliant from start to finish. The rooms were comfortable with a bath which was beneficial after a long days walking. Facilities were very good. Evening meal and breakfast were excellent.

Perhaps we were just unlucky as the writers of previous reviews clearly had a far better experience. We called here on Saturday mid morning for a quick coffee. Unfortunately any sense of welcome was absent and we were made to feel very much an inconvenience. After attempting to sit at one table, we were told it was reserved - no...

We have eaten here on a few occasions and it is usually very quiet. Being Easter Saturday it was busier than usual. The food is what you would expect from a standard pub and is reasonably priced. You will never be blown away with the Bucks but it can be nice. What really disappointed us was the grumpy old bar...

We had the wake here after a family funeral, we were greeted with unlimited hot drinks in a cosy room. The hostess was very kind and hospitable, there was plenty of food for everyone. Thank you for making a difficult day a little bit easier to bare, would eat here again!

We were here for a family funeral. The post-funeral reception was held here and we were well looked after. We overnighted at the pub. the rooms were pleasant and the beds comfortable. Full Breakfast next day was delicious and cooked to order. Over all a very relaxed stay.

We arrived tired and late, but were met with a warm welcome by pleasant staff. The room was spacious and extremely clean. Despite there being a busy pub/restaurant downstairs the noise was not intrusive. The breakfast was excellent. If you want straightforward accommodation with good food then look no further than the Bucks Head.

This pub is well located in the centre of town and seems popular with locals and visitors alike. Staff are friendly. Rooms are basic but clean and comfortable although wifi only seems to be accessible in the rooms immediately above the bar and these are the noisier ones. Food is OK but nothing special - typical of what you might...
