We ate here on a Saturday night, for which a reservation was very necessary, & every thing was perfect. My starter of smoked salmon was delicious & enough to almost be considered a main course! This was followed by a 10oz sirloin steak (medium rare) cooked to perfection with vine tomatoes, onion rings, mushrooms & beautiful chips. Washed down with... More

I stayed here for two nights in September, having heard of it from a car magazine. I had the only single room, which was clean, comfortable, and was, perhaps surprisingly, front facing. The view over the loch was initially good, but at sunset became superb. Both dinners were very good (I chose fish dishes) and full Scottish breakfasts excellent. Interesting... More

We pre-booked dinner here as the reviews were generally satisfactory while a popular venue much closer to our guesthouse was attracting some criticism. On arrival we were told to wait at the bar where we stood unacknowledged for over 10 minutes while the bar person slowly served drinks to other customers. We were eventually shown to a table in the... More

Lovely view over the sea to the Isle of Skye from our spacious room, which was quiet and clean, a perfect place to return to after days of strenuous hiking in the Highlands. Food was outstanding: dinners featured fresh meats and seafood in their dining room overlooking the harbor, and the included breakfast was prepared to order. We also got... More

We were staying at a B&B who recommended this restaurant to we. It faces the bay and the sunset was sheer beauty. We met some very nice locals and travelers alike. We sat on the front "porch" to have our drinks before moving inside for dinner. The homemade tomato soup and the sundried tomato, cheese and some kind of sauce... More

We stayed here for 2 nights in the luxury suite. We found the room to be very spacious and well appointed - the bed was super comfy and everything was spotlessly clean. Lovely views from the room of Gairloch - and indeed a lovely view from the hotels conservatory too! Staff were all very friendly and attentive. We ate here... More

We arrived early in the evening but without a booking and found a sign out the front saying no tables were available. Despite this we came in from the rain and were pleasantly surprised when we could be accommodated (apparently it was an issue with staff shortages as opposed to overbookings?). I was impressed with the gin menu and had... More

We only visited for dinner and were having a lovely meal here and when I had almost finished my roast lamb I bit on a piece of black plastic which looked like the 'tab' from a tub. I think it may have been in the pot of mint sauce. When we mentioned it to the waitress she very kindly and... More

Recommended by local B&B host but well worth it. Stunning views from both in and outside. Generous portions and reasonably priced. Great stocked bar with plenty of local and varied spirits to chose from (in particular Gins and Whiskys) staff friendly and efficient and informative with questions about local directions etc. A lovely place for a relaxing meal overlooking the... We had lunch here with a Shearings coach group - about 50 of us. We were served soup (best lentil soup I've had in an age), a sandwich selection and the most wonderful shortbread. The staff were friendly and did so well for such a large group. If we are ever back in the area we would return and warmly... More
