Why, because we expected at least what had been advertised. Our first surprise was when we booked and the site said that while a credit card was required there would be no debit made until after we stayed. On pushing the 'confirm' button we found that we were one day outside the 14 day cancellation period and we would already...

I had organised a holiday for our advanced motorcycle group and we spent 5 nights at this location. It was very quiet except for one night when some younger guests made a commotion early hours of the morning outside and inside. The hotel was situated near a lovely harbour with nice views and not too far from a petrol station...

Stayed at this hotel during easter weekend 2014. We were a large motorcycle group. They're very accommodating and friendly. The hotel is clean and comfortable. The location is picture postcard beautiful. The only negative is they don't do evening meals though there is a nice pub and restaurant just a short walk away. Their breakfast buffet however is excellent. Really...

I helped organise a week-long Scottish Tour for a group of car club members, almost 40 people in 20 cars. I chose this delightful hotel in the village of Gairloch in Wester Ross to break our route through the scenic delights of the north west, because it had the capacity but more because it feels so secluded and special, built...

We just had our wedding reception here and it was amazing. The place itself is beautiful, the rooms, according to my guests were fresh, clean, spacious and perfect for a good night's rest. The grounds are gorgeous and well maintained with flowers and trees everywhere. The staff, especially Sharon, without whose help I could never have organised my wedding from...

Just recently stayed here with a large walking group, this is a great location with great coastal and mountain walks, torridon, wester ross and the inverpolly nature reserve are a walkers paradise. The hotel was excellent, rooms a good size and clean. Breakfasts in the Highland lodge were very good, evening meals were in the sister hotel (the old inn)...

Stayed here with a large group of friends on a walking holiday. Efficient & prompt welcome from the manager, showed us to our room which had a great view of the harbour. Good size room, all the usual facilities. Very clean & no noise from adjoining rooms. Beautiful location, slept great every night. Only downside was weak water pressure in...

We were pleasantly surprised on arrival the Gairloch Lodge. The staff met us with a smile and offered help with carrying luggage to our room. The triple room was spacious but rather dark.It had a good size en suite bathroom. The view was not great however it was a budget hotel and we thought good value for a bed and breakfast. As a coach tour driver I stay in lots of hotels in the Scottish Highlands and Islands and this is a firm favourite of mine. No independent hotels in the country can compare to the level of comfort and service offered by the management and staff here. The rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable with all the usual facilities expected...

This was well worth the long drive in torrential rain. We brought our westie with us so we were allocated an own entrance room at the extension on the hotel. We were taken to our room, luggage carried and heating switched on for us. It was really lovely - cosy and welcoming. The room was a decent size and immaculately...
