We had been for a lovely walk and wanted to relax over lunch. We were welcomed warmly as we entered and when we asked if could bring our black Labrador in, we were told he was very welcome. We sat in the bright airy conservatory. Menu was brief but everything on it sounded lovely. We ordered a chicken curry and...

We had reserved a table to have a meal with friends. The 'honey roast ham' was in fact a slab of cold meat - we had expected hot roast ham. The (few) chips were not appetising and the peas were cold. My friend had fish and was sick in the night - she can think of no other reason for...

I live in the village so a degree of bias! Totally renovated by the present landlords and now a delightful pub with comfortable seating and a warm and welcoming atmosphere. A varied and interesting menu weekends (particularly sunday) are busy and booking ahead is a necessity.Standards are good and service is cheerful! I recommend the sausage and mash!

An easy 40 minute drive from Oxford and we find ourselves sitting next to the fire having dinner in this welcoming locals pub. Food was satisfying, and the attached accommodation was newly refurbished and comfortable. A lovely place to stay for a weekend walking in the hills...we will be back.

We went here for a family birthday. The venue was chosen based on geography as family members were meeting from North, South, East and West! It turned out to be ideal. we had one small person (2 and a half years) in the group and this was absolutely no problem at all. Service was just right - not intrusive but...

Stayed one night while travelling from the North to the South coast. Beautiful position, below the downs,in sight of the chalk horse, and almost next door to the once home of John Betjamin .Beautiful chalets behind pub, very quiet setting. Food what I'd describe as pretty fine dining-really excellent choice beautifully prepared.

We only stayed for one night but will definitely return another day, maybe for longer. The Fox and Hounds in Uffington is very well situated for walks around the White Horse and Ridgeway area. The room was cosy and everything needed was provided. The staff in the pub for our evening meal and breakfast were very efficient and friendly. On...

Stayed here for 2 nights. Our room was perfect for 3 people, might be a bit cramped for 4 but depends how big they are! We had one evening meal here which was well cooked and presented - particularly recommend the orange treacle tart. All the staff were friendly and helpful as well as very hard-working. The pub was very...
