Iv Been going to the Schooner Hotel for over 15 years and have not 1 bad word about the place. There is a lovely build in Indian place with pub menus also. The rooms are really welcoming, sky tv in every room also room service every morning friendly staff and a recommend place to go for open minded people who...

Although the décor does look tired I found my room clean and amenities what I expected. The staff were brilliant - looked after us very well - this was a break for myself and husband who has been quite ill. Great that I could take my puppy with us and she was welcomed by the staff. I can see the...

We went to the Schooner to watch the football. Restaurant and pub were empty so no problems finding a table. No wonder when beer costs £5 a pint. Pub OK and great that we could watch BT Sport, but definitely not worth £5 a pint!

Avoid. The room we had was nothing like described - no TV, radio, phone, internet, drawers, place to hang your clothes. We had to ask for curtains and a heater as the radiator didn't work! We were kept awake by staff showing their friends around until quite late at night. No duty manager to call and discuss. The best bit...

False advertising gets people to book in the first place. When you get their your money is taken before you see the state of the place. The rooms are a complete disgrace, dirty, mouldy, just a complete mess (and we were shown two rooms). Wi-fi? What Wi-fi? The staff are totally false, with no-one taking responsibility as a so called...

Have stayed at the Marine hotel before. This Inn has just been taken over by an Indian family and it looks like it needs some t l c. The Sunday lunch was roast lamb and it was delicious. The bar was busy so we were put...

Went for drink while waiting for takeaway. There was someone in front of me waiting as well. The service was so slow, although there was a miserable looking guy who appeared to work there putting away glasses instead of serving. A person who appeared to be staying there pushed in front and got served. Eventually got served by a dopey...

The hotel is very tired and run down. It will need a huge investment to bring it up to par. The carpets are worn, the furnishings are tired, the mattress might as well have not been there, the blind did not reach the bottom of the window, the shower runs from a mixer tap and was either very hot or...

We held a surprise 60th birthday party there for my husband and a fabulous time was had by all. The rooms were clean, the food was fantastic and the staff are lovely, nothing was too much trouble. We also went on the ghost hunt and was another great experience. Yes, there are some maintenance problems but if you're only interested...

A lovely day at Alnmouth, a lovely place at any time but especially good at the food festival. Called in for soft drinks, three small half pint drinks (orange & soda, coke) absolute rip off, overcharged.
