Stopped in Alnmouth for lunch and was very happy to find the Sun Inn, warm and cosy on a chilly day, beautifully decorated. The bar staff were so friendly and welcoming. We just had a bar snack but this was presented well, and was extremely tasty and good value for money. Was nice to find somewhere on a Sunday that...

Stopped after a lovely morning walk along Alnmouth beach. Very welcoming warm cozy pub. Fires where lit & our dog Angus was welcomed even though he was wet & sandy. Lunch was simple but good quality & plenty of it. Beer was well kept. Decor was fresh & clean but homely & had a nice atmosphere.

We had a great weekend away and stayed at the Sun Inn for the first time, despite having had breaks and holidays in Alnmouth for quite a few years. We will definitely stay here again. We had a great deal for a couple of nights in February, and stayed in room 1 with a super big bed, a good size...

This is basically a pub with a few bedrooms. If it's a reasonable night's sleep you're after with a good breakfast and doesn't cost you an arm and a leg then there's absolutely nothing wrong with the Sun Inn. Even the rather small bathroom / shower cubicle is OK for a night but might get a bit annoying if you...

When we contacted the Inn to make a booking for two double rooms, we were told there were two rooms available. However, despite leaving a voicemail message to confirm we wished to book the rooms, when we finally spoke in person early the next day we were told there had been a block booking and so only one room available...

I stayed here on 30th of January in room number 2, which is the only room without an en suite bathroom. We didn't have a problem with this personally as the room has it's own spacious bathroom with a very good large shower at the bottom of the corridor. The pub itself was very cosy, and nicely lit, partly due...

We stayed in Room 1 which was a double ensuite, the room was pleasant and comfortable and the bathroom/shower was excellent. Missed having 2 chairs and a table, even fold away ones would've been fine. The complete staff, Dani, Kieran,Tom and the breakfast lady including the owners Mel and Bren were brilliant. Lovely bar/restaurant and the food was amazing at...

Stayed overnight and had an enormous room at the front. Spotlessly clean. Lovely meal in the evening in the cosy bar by the fire. Great menu. Lovely staff . Breakfast in the morning was the best we have had. A great find but would recommend booking .
