Visited for lunch on a week day and the place is comfortable, modern and all in all nice. The staff member that served us was very helpful and listed all our requirements on the order for the kitchen, sadly the kitchen did not follow this which resulted in delays, confusion and items being missed off. The food was good however...

What a transformation since our previous visit a few years ago. We stayed there on a saturday night as we were attending a wedding nearby. The hotel kindly had our room ready early so that we could change for the wedding after a long drive on a hot summer's day - this was really appreciated and made us fell good...

It's been a long time since we stayed at the Crown, what with the shut down for the refurbishment. I think it was before Christmas last year in fact. We are regular stayers as our daughter and her family live in Blandford and we try to get to see the grandchildren as much as we can. Last weekend therefore was...

The Crown has just emerged from an extensive refurbishment and the results are stunning. The rooms are lovely, the food is very good indeed and the staff friendly and helpful. A wonderful find and one that we shall be returning to next year.

A recently refurbished town pub. What makes it a pleasant experience is the attractive outside seating which allows for conversation without the coughing and wretching from old soaks that you often find outside the lesser town boozer. This is a Hall and Woodhouse pub and therefore limited to their own brews. In addition the price s are at the upper...

We had a great experience staying at the Crown Hotel for four nights. We were attending friends wedding in nearby village and stayed at the Crown. The hotel is located on the quite part of town and with large parking spaces and free. There is a large outside patio with numerous tables and chairs for outside dining and drinking. The...

Popped in for lunch with a business colleague. Good choice of seating inside and out. Nice decor and atmosphere. Busy, but didn't feel congested or too loud. I had the Lyonnaise salad, my colleague the Golden Glory fish & chips. Both excellent!! Reasonably priced drinks and as you would expect a great choice of ales. The young lady behind the...

We stayed one night the hotel is fresh & clean with nice touches, good quality bedding & room product's. Breakfast was brilliant & nice friendly staff. All in all good value. One personnel gripe, our room ( number 10) was over the kitchen & was very hot, no air con. Also the extractor fan was just outside window, it was...

Thank you for your lovely comments. We are looking into if we can retrofit air-conditioning into this room which would mean that we could also fit secondary glazing too for any noise.

We visited as a family of 8 during a weekday for lunch & initially sat outside but moved into the bar area on a large table after it started to rain heavily. The member of staff who took our order was very helpful and took time to make a note of everything & checking that it was correct. Unfortunately our...

I am very sorry that we seem to have failed you on both of your visits but thank you for feeding it back to us. We have lots of new team at the moment and this coupled to a completely new layout and much increased trade has left us a bit shaky at times. Feedback such as this is valuable...

The Crown is situated very conveniently in the centre of Blandford. There is plenty of parking space at the rear of the hotel. We had a recently refurbished room that was spotless and tastefully decorated. The bed was comfortable however the pillows were a bit on the cheap side. There was no bath only a shower which was fine by...

Thank you for your comments; I will feedback back the comments about breakfast to the team. Did you have a look further around the bar in the Common Room? We have really sumptuous leather furniture in this area; it’s definitely my favourite part.
