Funny enough we ended up visiting Lyme Regis by accident as we were driving close by so I decided to take my boyfriend and his sister to see the place. They were speechless!! Incredible views and so peaceful. We then decided to pop somewhere for some tea and I remembered I previously visited the Alexandra Hotel so I took them...

I booked this Hotel for sunday afternoon tea some weeks ago, Service excellent on telephone and followed up with explanatory E - Mail, on arrival was greeted in a most friendly manner and escorted to our table (4 of us), the service was exemplary throughout and we were quickly furnished with beverages and a most sumptuous tea, scones , cakes...

We had a special celebratory afternoon tea in the conservatory, it was wonderful. The selection of teatime treats was superb and there was plenty! The view over Lyme Bay was lovely from the conservatory but if the weather is good you can also sit outside for the tea, the gardens are well kept with comfy chairs. Service was very good...

We first stayed in this hotel about 15 years ago, it was lovely then and still is, although it has, quite rightly, moved with the times. Our very comfortable room was on the second floor affording a stunning view of the Jurassic coastline. We were made to feel very welcome, the service was efficient and the food was beautifully presented...

Great Location overlooking gardens, prom and shore.Good breakfast and evening meal. Pleasant and helpful staff.Limited car parking meant leaving keys with reception so they can relocate cars as required.

Took Room 12 which has recently been refurbished, new and very well designed bathroom with walk in shower, bath with tv screen, double basin etc. Room 12 has a massive window with appropriate comfortable seating, from which you get a panoramic view of the sea and you can just see "the Cobb"! The rest of the hotel is an eclectic...

"Shall we go away this weekend?" My husband asked.... well the weather was due to be a little unsettled and we'd been away in January to Bridport but Dorset is abit of a soft spot so we revisited a hotel that we went to last year and I'm so glad we did. We'd stayed in a very grand room before...

My wife and I stayed at the Alexandra for 5 nights and without doubt it is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. The room was large, very comfortable and had a beautiful view across the gardens towards the sea and the harbour. The staff were very attentive but not constantly, they just seemed to be there at...

After a tough winter we needed a break and chose the Alexandra. We had visited for lunch on a previous occasion but had not stayed before so it was a little leap of faith. But any concerns were wiped away the moment we walked through the door and even more so when we went to our room. We loved every...

Spent an absolutely wonderful weekend in what must be the 'Go To' hotel in Lyme Regis. The rooms are beautifully furnished, the staff are simply amazing and so so helpful, the food (and cocktails!) divine, and the views breathtaking. What more could you ask for? Looking forward to returning as soon as time permits. This is definitely a hotel where...
