HIX Townhouse was a dream to stay in. Perched on the steep slope of the main strip of shops/cafes of Lyme Regis, it was an ideal location to explore for a weekend. We stayed in the Garden Room which was cosy with upscale finishing touches such as Bramley toiletries in the bathroom, a monsoon head shower, nespresso machine, bloody mary...

We recently stayed at Hix Townhouse and were highly impressed, the location is central and our room was faultless. Breakfast at Hix is a lovely hamper basket but on this occasion we wanted to dine out and therefore the price was deducted from the room rate, would definitely return and book room 6 as it was highly unusual with a puff a...

Nice room, very comfy bed, like others have commented on....the noise kept us both awake, most of the night. Was booked in for a second night but decided to check out and find somewhere with better sound proofing between rooms. won't be going back to this one!! Hamper for breakfast was of good quality, if its full English you are...

We stayed a week ago, for two nights(a treat from our sons) and what a lovely treat it was. Laura and Linda were so friendly and helpful on booking, even giving us a guided tour of the rooms( everyone being quirky&different from the next) for when we stay next time. Yes it's in the high street so a little noise...

The outside could do with a coat or paint. Nice atmosphere and pleasant, friendly staff. We liked our room and it had a very comfy bed. Was looking forward to seeing what surprises the 'breakfast hamper' held. What a let down, a scotch egg, muffin and a fruit yoghourt each and a jar of brown stewed fruit. The only plus...

We had booked 5 months before our visit and had started to get slightly nervous as some recent reviews had not been great. They had clearly visited a different establishment to us. The outside is not tatty! We received a warm greeting with details of where to park. Our room was great and had some lovely different touches. The hamper...

Overall a pleasant stay but the accommodation is very tatty. Our bathroom (shower room) was poor and backed onto another room from which you could hear everything ! Paint work was chipped everywhere in room and blinds were poorly maintained. The townhouse is literally in the centre of town so any activity in the center will wake you up as...

We stayed here for a night as part of a walking holiday. The Mad Hatter's room is very funky, with lots of hats to try on! It's got a great view over the town & the hotel is really well located. The bed was very comfortable with lovely linen. The bathroom was quite small but very well planned to make the...

The shabby exterior fortunately isn't matched by the interior. The rooms are quirky and perfectly adequate and well equipped. The bed very comfortable - double, not king size as advertised. Unusually no cooked breakfast but the hamper was good, although nowhere to sit in comfort to eat it in the room. Appreciated fresh milk, fruit and juice and espresso machine,...
