Exceptional service and food. Combe has retained it's charm and character but with a more relaxed and less informal ambiance. We were well catered for after a disastrous experience at The Pig at Brockenhurst so hope the standard of service will continue on our next visit. We've had a fabulous night in a perfect location. We loved Combe House as...

Having stayed at previous hotels owned by this group,I could not wait to try their new addition.Though I was taken a rather round about route by my sat Nav ,it made my approach to the hotel all the more spectacular . Form check in to check out, staff were welcoming, helpful and very friendly. Love the decor,my room a slice of heaven....

Having visited this hotel when it was Combe House Hotel we were looking forward to seeing what The Pig could offer. As it was the first week we expected there to be some areas which could be tweaked, but to be honest there was nothing we could fault. The welcome as we arrived until we left was fantastic. The staff...

Coming from Brockenhurst we were keen to sample the latest edition to The Pig brand and we weren't disappointed. Travelling to Cornwall, we stopped with our young boys for lunch. It was as expected - wonderful staff, food, atmosphere and location. We can't fault it and will make it our usual stop off point now for holidays West. Would certainly...

We were regular patrons to the orginal Combe House Hotel and eagerly anticipated its rejuvenation into the pig. I agree the Combe was looking tired but had a quaint charm which drew us back for more. But if you are looking to recreate this classical country hotel charm then your in for a shock. Every room has been stripped and...

We visited just for drinks and snacks just to check out the new venue. We were warmly welcomed by the staff who were very friendly and helpful. Set in the most idyllic Devon country location, the building, decor and location is absolutely stunning. The menu looks interesting enough and we'll be back sometime soon to stay and eat. But on...

First - do not follow your sat nav here. There is a more direct road from Honiton with no potholes, unlike from the Sidmouth road. My wife and I came for dinner here as family had bought us a gift voucher. The food was nice without wowing us at any time. Between us we had a variety of meat and...

What a transformation!...a beautiful long driveway approaching this perfectly set hotel which looks quite staid but inside it has been cleverly transformed into a very slick hotel...the general manager and staff are all very welcoming...suggest you try the folly for a light lunch but save room for dinner and the gin jelly!

This was a beautiful hotel in a great location. We were aware that it had only been open for a week but as there were no discounts we expected perfection. What we found was a hotel that was almost there but not quite. Tip: don't trade on The Pig name and assume people will just pay regardless. Most of the...

Eight of us had lunch at the pig on a Monday. We did not have starters but the men ordered fish and we four women ordered crab as a main course. The waiters bought the fish out and belly pork for us; realising they had made a mistake they said it would take some extra time to correct this but...
