Thought we would visit the Pig following refurbishment by new owners. We loved the place before and hoped it would still be fun. Very happy long lunch, delicious and interesting food, the nibbles were fantastic!

This is the third in the group that we have visited. The driveway in is very pretty and you can see the house in the distance. The car park is a very short walk. Very friendly warm welcome as soon as you arrive. Lots of seating in various rooms, most with open fires. The restaurant was lovely, great choice on...

Had Sunday lunch here with friends and loved it. Beautiful building and grounds (which we could enjoy due to it being a very sunny November day) and brilliant staff. We had a drink in one of the lounge rooms before heading through for our meal. Excellent drinks menu and superb selection of gin. My hake main was light as air...

It is so nice to be able to write a positive review. We wanted a good place to stay overnight with a good restaurant to break a trip to Cornwall. I am pleased to say that I chose well. In fact had I realised just how good it was I would probably had booked another night. The place itself is...

We had a wonderful weekend here with friends. The welcome was warm, the staff helpful and friendly, the public rooms are very well appointed with a lovely big fire in the main bar area. The furnishings are old fashioned and comfortable - just what you expect in a country house hotel. We ate in on all 3 nights and had...

Just back from a fantastic stay. Very cosy by the log fires. Room was adequate for the two of us and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. The food was excellent and the sommelier recommended a superb wine. Would definitely recommend it.

Fantastic house in a great setting. Two nights in one of the attic rooms. Beautiful large room with views across the park land. Two incredible evenings in the restaurant with very attentive service from the knowledgeable staff.

Dined here for lunch on a Monday and the restaurant was very busy - must be a good sign!! However, we did notice that the tables were quite close together and that there was little room for manoeuvre. The young waiting staff were welcoming and very efficient. The parsnip soup was spot on and the roasted pheasant with just a...

My husband and I stayed two nights at the Pig at Combe in November. We had a three hour drive down in pouring rain and on entering the wonderful great hall, with huge open fire blazing up the chimney and the most attractive bar recessed between original stained glass windows we knew that we had arrived at another excellent Pig...
