This is the second Pig we've been to & obviously very newly refurbished & completely gorgeous, but with a relaxed, shabby chic vibe. They couldn't do enough for us, right down to a little bag of seeds for our little girl to take hom & even waiving the breakfast charge one morning as our tea service had been overloooked! Super...

Called at this Amazing Hotel on our way home as always fantastic greeting Adam the Duty Manager went out of his way to make us feel welcome. We had a light meal in the Folly of Flatbreads and a drink the staff are so personable they make you feel like you belong there, not an easy thing to achieve. We...

We stayed for the weekend to celebrate a friend's 'special' birthday. On the first evening we had private drinks in the cellar and ate in the restaurant, for the second evening we had private dining in the Georgian Kitchen. Our room (number 9) was out of this world, with the most wonderful views over the surrounding countryside, the view from...

So if you ever stay at a Pig you will often overhear conversations in the bar where strangers ask each other how many of the Pigs they have been to, which is their favourite, and many will answer they have been to all the 'proper' Pigs (but not the one in the wall). We are no exception to the rule...

Visited for Sunday dinner, initially sat in one of the elegant and formal lounges for drinks before our meal then ate in the sublime setting of the main dining room; lime-washed panel walls, terracota pots of herbs and plants, glass bottles of olive oil and smoked salt, all bathed in soft golden sunlight to make a fabulous sunny and highly...

We went to the "early sitting" for dinner and the whole experience was one of feeling rushed. We had only just got our cocktails (one of which was not what was ordered) and they asked us to go to the table. We had to order at the table. Just managed a couple more sips of said cocktail when the starter...

A beautifully appointed luxury hotel. Excellent bedrooms with very comfy beds with crisp white bed linen and great bathrooms - ours had an enormous free-standing bath. On top of all this there is an eccentric twist to The Pig which we loved, especially in the eclectic decoration of the dining room and other public rooms - a blend of old...

I was travelling in a group of 5 and although we found our room peaceful that was not the case for my companions. Noise can disturb your sleep. Being situated in the old stables was very atmospheric and even perfect for us but it did rain in the morning and the trek outside for breakfast was not ideal. On very,...

Thought the hotel and restaurant was very pleasant. Enjoyed an amazing evening meal and breakfast with all the trimmings. Unfortunately although the room was very comfortable my nights sleep was disrupted by the external extract which ran all night, the room being located above the kitchen and the towel rails belting out heat in mid May! Would love to return...

Faultless and impeccable in service, cuisine and ambience! A gem of a kind rarely found and so beautifully thought out. From the moment you spot the Hotel and facilities from the drive way you are wowed and enticed. Staff, decor and service make you feel relaxed and wanting to explore. So much skill has been exercised into making everything look...
