Dined here for lunch on a Monday and the restaurant was very busy - must be a good sign!! However, we did notice that the tables were quite close together and that there was little room for manoeuvre. The young waiting staff were welcoming and very efficient. The parsnip soup was spot on and the roasted pheasant with just a... More

My husband and I stayed two nights at the Pig at Combe in November. We had a three hour drive down in pouring rain and on entering the wonderful great hall, with huge open fire blazing up the chimney and the most attractive bar recessed between original stained glass windows we knew that we had arrived at another excellent Pig... We had a wonderful family lunch celebrating two birthdays. The afternoon was made perfect by the staff & the lunch. The food was one of the best meals we have had & as good as some of the top London restaurants. If you want a beautiful setting & excellent Hotel it's 'The Pig' in Honiton.

We went with two friends for lunch . We had all been to the hotel under the previous ownership & were most impressed with the massive changes carried out under " The Pig " brand. A lovely informal atmosphere has been created with superb shabby chic furnishings etc. Plenty of rooms to relax in. Attentive friendly staff. The menu is... More

We have just returned from a wonderful couple of nights at this fantastic hotel. It was just perfectly suited to the cold weather outside, roaring log fires, cozy chairs and sofas for relaxing and a stunning bar that was a thing of beauty in itself! I love the typical Pig shabby chic decor which was so warm and welcoming. The... More

Very friendly and helpful staff in this cleverly restored country manor dating back to Tudor times. The atmosphere crated by the combination of staff and environment is second to none. Immediately recognisable as another brilliant hotel from the Pig stable.

We spent Sunday & Monday to celebrate our dear friends birthday. This property really is the jewel in the Pig crown. Idyllic setting, combined with effortlessly superb service. We stayed in the Stables (Room 22) which is beautifully furnished and incredibly spacious and comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were a delight - great wine advice available, just ask. But its the... A beautiful setting. A stunning hotel and wonderful food. This hotel is beautiful, the staff are very professional and friendly and confident with offering advice to do with food and drink questions. The piggy fours were just delicious. We will definitely go back and maybe make use of the facilities within the hotel and spend a couple of nights there... More

My wife and I stayed here for several nights 30 years ago when it was just Combe House. Nice old country house hotel. We went back for lunch in October this year and the Pig team have certainly rung the changes. The grounds still look fantastic. The folly is great (for events and weddings I guess) and the whole interior... More

We have visited the Combe House Hotel for many years and were interested to see what the Pig would be like. The staff were pleasant, efficient and charming. The refurbishment of the hotel has been done very well - although the removal of carpets has made the dining room extremely noisy during busy periods. We were rather disappointed with the... More
