Stayed here for a birthday treat, interesting place with a strong nautical theme, nice rooms, friendly staff and dog friendly. They have a great selection of drinks and although we didn't eat here, the food did look good, and we'll certainly try it another time. Price wise I thought £140 was a bit steep for an en suite room in... More

We stayed here this weekend. We have stayed here before. Absolutely excellent. Nice comfy rooms and really good bathrooms. The staff cannot do enough for you they are all so friendly. The food is excellent. The bar and the restaurant are very cosy with a real fire in the bar. If you stay here you will not be disappointed. Thanks... More

Stayed here for one night as a birthday treat for my other half. Absolutely stunning setting just yards from a small unspoilt cove. Very quaint pub with flagstone floors and roaring log fire. Obviously we have chosen the right time of year, no parking problems and the place wasn't rammed with customers. Our room was spotlessly clean with large en... More

For the bar girl on the lunch time shift: please make yourself aware of the rules and regulations of Alcohol sales. You lost yourselves a 4 person restaurant bill. We left as my sister who is 24 was embarrassed to be refused service, even though we were with my parents, as she forgot her ID. This is not illegal like... More

We walked to this pub/hotel from the centre of Port Isaac. What a lovely find. Really good food and a tranquil place. Would love to book a couple of nights next time we are in Cornwall again. Staff really friendly and helpful.

The best thing about the hotel is the staff. The second best thing is the food - excellent! Our rooms were adequate, but the building is old. The bathroom was nice and the shower good. All in all the 2 night stay was delightful. One word of caution = this area on the coast is very hilly and steep. To... More

Quaint and charming hotel in lovely setting. Room was well appointed and comfortable. The shower water temperature did fluctuate a bit, but to be expected in a building of this age (as the steep and narrow stairs were also expected). Whilst staff seemed to be a bit oversubscribed/stretched at times, they were always polite and helpful. Breakfast made to order... More

Originally went to see Port Isaac, as people had told us it was beautiful. On the afternoon/evening we visited, it was heaving and we couldn't get near it so went along the coast 1/4 mile and found the Port Gaverne Hotel in a secluded little cove. We managed to get the last table without a reservation, as the restaurant part... More
