We spent a few days at the hotel to celebrate a birthday. The hotel is well located to explore the area and offers superb accommodation and an excellent restaurant. The staff are helpful, courteous and attentive and added much to the overall experience of our stay. We will return for certain and look forward to another five star experience. Highly recommended.

We arrived and Dean could not have made us more welcomed. He was friendly and helpful and made us laugh (always important as far as I am concerned). We had two cottages and both were spacious and spotless with adequate amenities replenished daily. The cottages were really lovely, comfortable and private. Ours look out onto the garden and the river. The hotel has a number of walks around it which were very pleasant. Breakfast was excellent too with a good choice of cooked and fresh dishes. The location is perfect for easy driving to the marshes as well as inland to Norwich. I highly recommend the cottages as they are away from the main building and offers more covid security if needed. The in-chalet dining service is convenient and efficient. It is a great place to get away from

Just stayed 2 nights at this hotel. The staff are absolutely delightful and incredibly helpful. They are working their socks off but still manage to make one feel that they have lots of time for the individual. The breakfast is fabulous and the evening meal is full of lots of different flavours and beautiful served. We had a luxury room which I feel was bit of a misnomer. The room was definitely quirky, but not really for anyone with dodgy knees. The loo was tiny and indeed, I banged my head on the door the first timeI went in there. Every time one sat down, sideways to have room for the legs,it sounded as though the loo was coming off the wall, and there is no separate light for the loo. Not sure I like a bathroom that doubles as a lounge. But the bed was amazing and the

Recently revisited The Norfolk Mead with my husband. We decided on a change and stayed in one of the outside cottages, Sea Beet, which was beautiful with plenty of space in all areas. The Covid safety measures implemented throughout all areas of the hotel and outside rooms were excellent. We felt extremely comfortable and safe during our stay. Food at breakfast and dinner was excellent as always, together with the friendly and helpful staff who are always eager to ensure the guests have everything they need/wish for without being intrusive. Although it was October, there was a day of sunshine therefore we took advantage of the relaxing garden area. We very much look forward to our next visit.

Fantastic overnight stay. Beautiful location with wonderful grounds and outlook. The staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was pleasurable irrespective of Covid 19. Our evening meal was sumptuous and beautifully presented. Excellent value for such fine cuisine. Special thanks to the staff for making this such a wonderful stay. Liam, Josh our lady servers and Mark from Housekeeping all deserve special mention. The Covid compliance and rules are well applied and explained by staff, especially Liam on arrival. It made for a very comfortable stay and we shall definitely be back. Our room Chanterelle was exquisite. Thoroughly recommend.
