My recent visit was for their excellent afternoon tea. Seaham Hall is beautifully and luxuriously refurbished since my last visit. Expensive and extensive modern mirrors grace the walls. Large statement ornaments are placed at intervals. The wallpaper adds to the sumptious atmosphere. In the front room with the main bar are some very impressive crystal chandeliers. On the wall there...

Stayed 10th January 2017 and it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience throughout. The bedroom suite 7 was very large, comfortable and spotlessly clean with an enormous bed, I use a water pillow at home and they provided one even asking how I wanted it filled. We used the spa and it is first class and very relaxing. We ate in...

We stayed for a week and everyday was a pleasure. We ate at all the restaurants and the food was excellent, although the breakfast drinks and food was, on occassions, lukewarm althoughh staff dealt with these promptly with no fuss. The artwork around the hotel was quality and created a unique feel. If you have walking problems be aware that...

A wonderful stay at Seaham Hall from start to finish. Got a midweek deal and kindly upgraded to the Ada Lovelace suite, stunning especially the baths by the window and a mezzanine level adding to the comfort and space. Every member of staff we met were helpful and seemed happy to work there which is rare nowadays. We used the...

Had the most fabulous birthday night away to celebrate my 21st birthday. The suite we had was gorgeous. So big. I had a birthday card and a slice of cake waiting for me on arrival- a lovely touch. We ordered room service which arrived quickly and was lovely. We found the room to be quite chilly when we first came...

We recently stayed at Seaham, having visited a few times under it’s original owners and experienced fantastic stays. Sadly, we were disappointed this time, which was such a shame. Overall, it just didn’t deliver for the level of price they were charging and many of the small details that should be there for the high cost were missing. Pro’s -...

My room was very comfortable with an excellent bed and bedding, albeit a bit cluttered with furniture but with nice touches such as the coffee machine. I expressed concern about the poor food hygiene rating and the comments but was assured the new chef would see this corrected. The public rooms were also comfortable although we found the bar to...

Where do I start! Cannot recommend this place highly enough! From the moment we arrived (sadly only stayed 1 night) to our departure we were treated wonderfully by all staff. Our bags were taken to our room and we were shown how to use lighting etc. I was so impressed by the standards of our room. Super comfortable bed and...
