We can't wait for the weather to warm up so we can visit again. We were on 2 motorbikes and the secure off road, under cover parking was fabulous for us. Chrissie is a wonderful, wonderful host, a shame we missed hubby. Nothing is too much trouble but in a really homely way, not in a stuffy, hotel type way,...

My family and I stayed here on a weekend break to Kirkby Stephen. This place is more than a home from home. It is a peaceful retreat in a beautiful part of the country. The hosts couldn't have made my family and I feel more welcome if they had tried. All of our needs were more than well met with...

After a recent visit to Kirby Stephen we stayed at Lockholme B&B which felt just like home. From arriving we were made to feel very welcome with the fire roaring and being offered tea and the most amazing cake. Perfect location for winter walking and Chrissie gave us lots of good advice of local walks. Rooms were modern, warm and...

Having visited Lockholme for the first time we were really disappointed ................. disappointed that we only staying for one night! What a wonderful job Chrissie and Joe have made of setting up their B&B. From initial contact and payment of deposit through our (late) arrival and then our wonderful overnight stay and breakfast, this is the best B&B that we...

I seldom give "excellent" ratings but here do so unequivocally and unreservedly. I stayed for three nights and have only praise for the accommodation and the warm, friendly hospitality of the proprietors, Joe and Chrissie. I came by train, and was met at the railway station, then welcomed with tea and cake on arrival at the house. My room was...

Stayed at this fantastic B & B whilst on a walking weekend with friends. I enjoyed it so much that I will definitely be returning. The cake (and tea) on arrival was delicious. The room was spotless and I had the best nights sleep in a long time in the comfortable bed with crisp white bedding. Breakfast was amazing, fresh...
