Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I stayed here for a business trip. The hotel is very dated and lacks a lot of facilities you would expect from a 4* in Europe. The bedding was clean but I would question the cleanliness of the rest of the room. The rooms and corridors have a distinct stale/damp smell and the carpet looks like it was installed back in the 60s and the colour (dirt) would re enforce this.

Not very quiet because of the proximity of a main road, The bus indicated to get there was not the one indicated on the website, so I arrived quite annoyed, having lost a lot of time, being on foot. The room was small but clean and breakfast fine.

Execellent location near the wall of the city, quiet and relaxing. Not far from the center. Clean rooms and helpful staff. I have enjoyed the location, the service, the rooms the breakfast choice. Although short (only one night) I would return in this resort.

Nice hotel in a good location. Clean and well decorated and updated. Great breakfast. Limited parking if you arrive late. My main beef is that I booked a Junior Suite and paid 50 Francs more to get a queen bed and a large room (the other room classes said twin bed or queen bed). When I got there I found that I had 2 twin beds next to each other and not even connected. The room was 1/3rd of the size in the picture advertised on Expedia. When I talked to the desk clerk, they said that I indeed had a Junior Suite and there are no queen beds, as this allows them to sleep two people individually. Ha. The room has the old style Swiss outlets that need a triangle plug. The front desk has plugs that you can borrow. You need to put the key in the wall when you enter the room to turn on the lights. If One wants to leave the room and leave another inside, you cannot take your key or the person left behind will be in the dark.

Room has only one electrical outlet where the guest can use an adapter. And this outlet is in the bathroom. This is definitely not adequate for a business traveler. While there was coffee and tea in the room no cream was provided, only sugar. The bed is small.

The hotel staff were very friendly and spoke English at reception. The hotel parking was very convenient and the location excellent, with a walking distance from the old town centre. We had booked a Junior suite, which was very nice and spacious.

We very much liked the stay - nice and quiet location, friendly staff, lovely breakfast. Pity only, there is no bar on site, next bars/restaurants in walking distance of at least 15 minutes, so you have to be fit.
