You should view the sea from the upper floors of the Arecas, from those rooms facing the pool. But bear in mind that this hotel is set back from the sea ( it's sister hotel, the Riu Palace is in front of it down the hill ) so there are a couple of hundred metres between you and it.
Incidentally, you can get close to the beach if you use the Arecas Beach Club which is actually in the grounds of the Palace hotel, accessible via a private entrance which you open with your room key card. The sun loungers are all set on sand and there is a small infinity pool. The actual beach is just in front of this area and easily accessible.
