once again we had an awesome stay at this perfect retreat. The food is amazing and well priced. Parking is safe and the rooms near reception pick up good wifi. Breakfast is the best in tarifa. The bar is well stocked and the showers spacious. Only that hot watwr runs out quickly. The beds are divine but could do with...

We stayed here one night in October prior to visiting Morocco for the day; I'm glad we selected it vs. staying within Tarifa itself. The hotel was very laid back and relaxing, and it was nice (after a long day of driving) to walk along the beach and even dip our toes into the ocean. It was a pretty lazy...

The hotel is expensive, meals are also very expensive. It is too far from Tarifa to use if you are only going to use tarifa as a jumping off place for Morocco. The cats were howling at night, our room was right next to the parking lot so ealry and late noise. And worse of all, the bathroom was seperated...

We stayed at the Dos Mares for the second time just a week ago and it was still great. Location on a totally unspoilt beach is perfect. The hotel is quirky and full of character with two bars a beautiful restaurant that spills out through a courtyard onto the beach and it also boasts a cafe/bar. The facilities for a...

The Good: This hotel is just a couple miles outside Tarifa (which seemed a little slummy), so you can actually see the lights of Tarifa from there, as well as the coast of Morocco. Very peaceful location and enviroment. The pool makes up for the ocean being too cold to swim in and so full of kite surfers. So many...

Happiness is pulling on your kite bar and soaring off the crest of a wave without worrying that your non-kitesurfing partner is bored or being sandblasted by strong winds on the beach. Amanda was spoilt for choice for places to lie and read in the sun - under the palm trees overlooking the beach, beside the pool behind glass screens...

I have just spent the weekend at Dos Mares with my daughter. We stayed in a bungalow alongside the main hotel. The room was great, large clean and a very spacious modern bathroom. We arrived after dark so access was not very well lit, but we could not fault the room. The best parts of Dos Mares are the Chiringuito...

Stayed in one of the suites with a sea view. Room was basic but clean and had a large sun terrace witch had a view of the beach. Dinner was excellent and reasonably priced. We probably managed the only weekend without storm force winds, but the temperature did drop a lot a night so for al fresco dinning take another...

Tarifa accomodations are not cheap at all, and at the Hotel Dos Mares you pay the higher quality of other hotel. The location is great, between the ocean and the main road, so the noise of traffic don't bother the sleep like in other close hotels. In few steps a beautiful gold sand beach is available, where there are lots...

I stayed in a bungalow at Hotel Dos Mares while participating in an equestrian tour with Hidden Trails. Our bungalow was sunny, spacious, meticulously cleaned daily, and opened to an expanse of luscious lawn. Beyond the lawn is the Mediterranean and a clean, white beach. From this beach you can see hills of northern Africa. Aside from the quiet and...
