My husband and I live a short distance from Nerja but fancied a couple of nights away and, as we currently cannot travel outside Malaga Province due to covid restrictions, decided that Nerja would suit us well. We booked a two night great deal at the Mena Plaza and, on arriving yesterday, were so delighted with our choice that we extended our stay by a night. Although the official check in time is 4pm when we arrived at noon to ask if we could drop our case off the room was already ready which was a big bonus. Our bedroom (306) is very modern with a generous balcony overlooking the square, well furnished with ample storage space and a VERY comfortable bed that - unusually for a Spanish hotel - has two good pillows per person. There is a well equipped bathroom with good shower and a very useful fridge. There is a small TV but with no English language channels. Downstairs there is a cafe/bar serving very well priced breakfast options. On the roof is a pool and Jacuzzi with good views across to the sea and mountains. Location is unbeatable being just two minutes walk from the Balcon De Europa and Nerja old town centre. We will definitely be back.

Terrible hotel, disgusting customer service. Booked a three night stay for late April 2020, for 8 people via booking.com. The hotel contacted me on the 10th April 2020 via booking.com, to state they were unable to receive us because of Covid 19. Booking.com 'forced measures' applied, which meant I was entitled to a full refund. After further enquiries with the hotel, they twice assured me by email that they would process a full cash refund. I have heard nothing further from them since October last year, despite sending further emails requesting my refund. They took our booking, cancelled our stay and then kept our money and going against the guidance issued by the booking platform they use to advertise their hotel. Would recommend avoiding this hotel at all cost.

I've stayed in Nerja 3 times 3 different hotels, and this hotel is best hotel I've stayed at while visiting. The staff was very friendly when my girlfriend and I first arrived, and waved or greeted us every time we passed on our way out for the day or coming back. Beds are great, do the job for laying in. Our balcony didn't have much to look at, but in Nerja you're never really in the room. The hotel is next to a lively square which children and families walk though and sit at places during the day so it can be a little noisy, but like I said you're not in the room enough to notice. Nerja is a beautiful place, it's not a party place it's a relax have a drink and some tapas at 12pm in the day place. Walk all over until your feet her, but you want to keep walking and seeing things anyway. Very reasonable prices throughout, my girlfriend and I take around 100 euro for each day we are there and we struggle to spend it all. We're in our mid 20s and we love this place, we try and visit at least once a year in February but would love to see it in the peak seasons. February weather seems to be really nice and warm during the day, a night you would need a jacket with you, but it's still warm enough. Last time I stayed was February 2020. Hoping to get there again this year above all other places.

Really really disappointed with this hotel, I was to attend a wedding there and it was cancelled and the hotel wouldn’t give us anything back on this, I understand things are bag for everyone but I feel something should have being given back, so bad of them

This hotel behaved disgracefully with me due to coronavirus situation and being unable to travel to hotel on 1st July for 5 day stay they refused to change my travel date kept full amount of my holiday fee £420.00A family run hotel ,well not a way to treat a client ,so don’t ever have a non refundable reservation with this hotel ! How can you travel to a destination when British government are saying unsafe to travel to ! I was not insured to travel with my holiday insurance I have health issues and was unable to go without health insurance ! Reasonable to me but not to this hotel so beware ! I have lost all this money I was prepared to change my accomodation dates but no they took my money and offered no alternative I hope no one else was treated like me ! Not the way to have people to book your hotel
