From the moment we arrived and pulled into the ample and free client parking area we felt at home. A friendly greeting was waiting for us in the form of Alix the co-owner, who has followed all the Covid health and safety regulations down to the letter, without losing the charm of this gem of a boutique hotel. We were shown to our room and were very happy to see a lovely private terrace with breathtaking sea and mountain views. All the rooms are East facing so get the sunrise and early sunshine until after lunch. The bed was very comfy and there is ample wardrobe space. There is a fridge in the room with cold water and milk. A large fast boiling kettle on a tray as well as mugs, complimentary coffee and tea. The shower room bathroom was spacious and modern and very clean with a small tilt window. The hairdryer worked very well. Double patio doors to the terrace. They even have English TV channels which was a nice surprise. Two comfy chairs and a desk. Number 5 is a great room. The included breakfast was served on the sunny terrace and during our visit there were 4 choices, all delicious. We tried them all during our week’s stay and each option was served with freshly squeezed orange juice, delicious coffee and toasted white or brown bread which is baked each day at the hotel. We can’t wait to return.

Stayed here for 5 nights while recuperating from a dislocated shoulder and back problem. Beautiful place to stay, helped me recuperate. Alex was most helpful. Thoroughly enjoyed my time there and felt a lot better at the end. Thanks Alex for all your help and wish you all the best for the difficult future ahead. John Perry

Lovely comfortable room with a large balcony overlooking the sea. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners, Alex and Kevin and staff. The food was exceptionally delicious served in a beautifully appointed restaurant - and/or on the terrace with those spectacular sea views. It is famed for its wonderful food. We look forward to staying there again when we visit Nerja.

Perfect package! It's all right here. Rooms looking out on the Mediterranean Sea, each with private balcony, private bathroom, closet, coffee pot and seating area. Quality cooked complimentary breakfast with several selections served to your table. Free parking in the hotel lot. Very close beach access with a beach walk into the town. We didn't use our car while in Nerja. Excellent restaurant on premesis with quality food, drinks, service and chef. And of coarse clean, quiet and very welcoming.

We fancied a couple of nights away and decided to stay at the Avalon as we were aware of it´s fabulous location and views. We couldn´t have been more pleased. Our room was very spacious as was the terrace which had a sofa, table and large plants. In terms of comfort, cleanliness, service, friendliness of staff this is definitely the place to go. Alix and Kevin have clearly put their hearts and souls into making sure that everything that you could wish for is provided. The food was fantastic too. Great breakfast choices (included) and plenty of it. The restaurant is lovely ( best sticky toffee pudding ever) as are all the staff. Couldn´t fault our stay at all.
