Yes as everyone reports the views are spectacular but that said, this Parador is in serious need of a real update. As big Parador visitors we rate the rooms even with views as the poorest we have stayed in.Bathrooms with badly stained tiles and mirrors and very unpleasant sewage smells.Outside, the entrance courtyard is very badly broken up with brickwork in...

Parador set on top of a hill with fabulous views. Beautiful peaceful public rooms full of character. The pool and surrounding sun lounge area was so peaceful and relaxing. Staff were courteous, friendly and very helpful. We ate in the restaurant that night and the food was delicious and the waiters who looked after us were real characters. This was...

You stay here for the location. Perched high on a rock the Parador commands spectacular views over Jaen and the surrounding countryside. You can see for miles and miles (depending on the heat haze). The Parador looks old, but was in fact built when they renovated the adjacent fort (mid 60s). It's been built in the style of a much...

This is the 10th Parador we have stayed at....and this has the most spectacular location....built next to a medieval castle overlooking a spectacular view guaranteed to see any enemy advancement. The view is spectacular....and the balcony from our room was one of the best we have seen anywhere...in Spain... .....it needs to be said that Parador hotels are in great...

From every room and every angle of the hotel, one is surrounded by majestic views and a stronger understanding of the Jaen Landscape (filled with olive trees). I would honestly stay again even if only for the view. I decided to sign up for the 2 night, 2 dinners, and 2 breakfast package. The price was extremely reasonable for how...

Well, obviously One gets a little excited when One stays in a castle! It was as fabulous as we were expecting. The pool area was lovely and relaxing with stunning views. Our room had an amazing balcony and a nice big bath. All was very lovely. The staff were sweet too. Definitely a pretty place to stay. I think we...

This hotel is situated on a promontory high above the town. From our room, which had a balcony, we had a view of the mountain behind the hotel. However, the views from the front of the hotel - especially at night - were fabulous. We thought the dinner menu was pleasing, if a little fussy. I can thoroughly recommend the...

Travelling as a group of 3, we had the pleasure of staying in three different Paradors in Spain. Parador Hotel Siguenza, in the town of Siguenza, Parador Hotel Chinchon in the town of Chinchon, and Hotel Castillo de Santa Catalina in the City of Jaen. All built in the 16-18th century, the entire experience was fantastic!!! This is a wonderful...

You can see this castle in the sky way before you reach Jaen city limits. The views from our room where breath taking! A beautifully presented hotel with very friendly staff. Breakfast was just that... A feast, you won't want much for lunch! The dinner menu was a little restrictive but well presented and in a dining room you won't...

We stayed for two nights in June 2013 with our friends. The castle styled building can be seen for miles before you reach it. We shopped at the supermarket for Cava and wine before reaching the place. There is a mini bar in each room and we chilled our before dinner drinks down in it. We collected ice from the...
