Arrived Boxing day for 5 day stay. First impressions excellent as was our spacious room. Nothing was to much trouble for the staff we asked for a kettle and coffee making facilities 5 mins later knock on the door and there it was. Same with two extra pillows. Dinning was a good experience as well lovely food for breakfast and dinner. Lots of choice. We did have an issue one night with a very busy dinning room when a large party arrived and it got a bit chaotic and we mentioned it to the manger who with no hesitation gave us a free complementary meal in the upstairs restaurant which was a very nice surprise. All in all I can recommend this hotel very highly as with the staff. We will be back.
My wife and I stayed at the IPV from 15th to the 29th of July 22. The hotel is very close to the beach, it has lovely grounds to sit in plus a beach bar with very good staff friendly and very efficient especially Miguel and Orlando. The buffet restaurant is large with an excellent choice of food. Our bedroom was on the 6th floor (Mijas) no.3604 it is a good size with a nice big bathroom and a balcony with superb sea views. The room was serviced every day to a very high standard by a lovely young lady called Estefanra she is a credit to the hotel.
Fantastic hotel to stay in for winter break. Room was clean and spacious with glorious views of the beach and coastline towards Fuengirola. Could hear the waves crashing onto the beach from open balcony door which was really relaxing. Powerful shower, hairdryer that worked well and did actually dry your hair unlike other hotel hairdryers, so no need to pack your own, nice selection of accessories – shampoo (no conditioner so bring your own), shower gel, toothbrushes and tooth paste, shaving kit and shower cap. Staff were all very friendly and helpful, nothing too much trouble. Felt really at ease in the hotel and well looked after. Breakfast was delicious and fresh with a wide choice of options; fresh fruit, ham and cheeses, warm croissants, breads, made to order omelettes and any type of egg, English cooked breakfast, pastries, donuts, pancakes, waffles and churros, brilliant coffee and fruit juices. Spa looked delightful although did not use as we were blessed with great weather all week. Fuengirola beach beautiful and clean and went on for miles. Lovely costal walk towards Benalmadena. Loads of traditional Spanish cafes to stop for a coffee and watch the world go by. Marbella and Puerto Banus about 30 min car drive (buses and trains available too) and well worth a visit. Cannot fault my stay at the hotel. Thank you.…
So nice to visit a more traditional style of Spanish hotel even in amongst the throng of the Costa Del Sol and with the thriving hub of Fuengirola only a short distance away. The hotel is of the beach club style with rooms in different blocks, but none of them too remote. The staff are friendly and helpful, albeit service at the bars and restaurants can be a tad chaotic at times. Nonetheless the overall experience is quite charming in its way and has been commented upon the view from the hotel is delightful!
I had a double room for sole occupancy with a sea view and the view really is incredible. The setting of the hotel is enhanced by having a small promenade running in front of the hotel, rather than a road, and this made for a very quiet setting. The pool is wonderful for a dip when the temperature is high, and is really spacious. The breakfast buffet has something for everyone, with some very nice fresh rolls. Omelettes can be made fresh, and outside on the terrace there are also freshly made Churros. Myself and my friend were on Bed & Breakfast basis, and for lunch I would recommend a walk towards the main promenade in Fuengirola where there were some very nice options for lunch.
second time staying here, great service at reception, lovely pool area with plenty of sunbeds. Comfy beds and very large bathroom. Nice food and drinks in pool bar but service a little slow. Lovely seafront walk into town. I'd go back again.
A very good 12 days’ stay at this lovely hotel. Great rooms and superb service. Fantastic buildings in a great setting. All rooms with sea view. Breakfast was good, not great. Could have been higher quality ingredients. But again super service and smiles all around. Very professional. Would do it again.
Just back from a four night break at the IPV, my second visit this year and fourth time here. The hotel is in a great place on the sea front at the quiet far end of Fuengirola but still an easy walk unto town and to restaurants. Once again I had a nice room with a lovely sea view in the Ronda building. I disagree entirely with an earlier review that the hotel is dated. The bedroom was spacious and comfy and the bathroom had a nice shower and plenty of light and space for toiletries. The staff are all very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was as good as ever. I look forward to the next time.
My wife and I wanted a little break and although I didn’t really fancy Fuengirola (thought it would be too touristy) we were told it had come on a lot as a holiday spot. We were pleasantly surprised with Fuengirola but we loved our hotel! Slightly bland facade, but very impressive inside, the reception, old world style is huge and beautifully done. A very friendly and professional greeting, was the standard that continued from all the staff throughout our stay. Our rooms simple styling had all we needed, my wife giving the thumbs up to the wardrobes accommodating long dresses, plenty of storage and a decent hair dryer but only one temp setting. Good quiet air conditioning, very comfortable beds, lovely standard of room cleaning and gorgeous sea view. Very minor criticism’s would be that the shower was looking a bit tired, would have loved a room kettle and our tv remote wouldn’t work, but who needs a tv on your hols! Breakfast was buffet style, great choice, well presented and constantly re stocked, hot items were plentiful and tasty, you can also have freshly prepared eggs off the griddle. Also out on the terrace( a great place to sit and have breakfast! ) there was a pancake station. Pool area was beautiful, garden area well tended with impressive palms. Always clean, plenty of bins, stacks of beds( unsure how busy hotel was) and a lifeguard. You also have pool towels available at no charge from reception Outside bar/restaurant area was impressive with a good choice of food at a decent price. You also have secure access to the promenade and public beach which was clean with plenty of beds. The hotel is at the the southern end of Fuengirola with a nice promenade running in front of the hotel continuing all along Fuengirola, it takes about 15 minutes to get to all the bars and restaurants. Great hotel, professional staff, lovely pool area, all made for a great break. Only real criticism I could add was tiny little bits of hotel look tired and need of an update, but I am being very picky, if you choose the IPV you will be well looked after.…
Our third stay at this wonderful hotel. Enjoyed sea view rooms on the first floor. Breakfast was excellent, as was check in and the daily cleaning of our room. Now that some of us are 60+ we do not wish to be based in the ‘more lively/rowdy’ areas of Fuengirola and the position of IPV is faultless for a pleasant walk in to town and for getting on to the motorway to get to golf. Yes the place was busy, with a group of oriental people and a conference for chiropractors, but everyone I spoke to, was courteous and always considerate of other guests needs. First class!
