Recently stayed at the PYR as a mini break for 4 nights and couldn't fault the place the hotel was nice, the rooms were clean, bedding clean and fresh. The room was spacious enough. Breakfast was OK it was buffet style with pastries and fruit etc... our only problem we had was some of the apartments are lived in and one of them was doing building work until 12am every night
I visited fuengirola on 5 to 12 December 22.check in was fast and efficient. I booked 2 Studios which were allocated on the same floor. Rooms were clean and spacious. Hotel location was excellent, very close to beach, bars and restaurants, even for me with my arthritic knees. Staff were brilliant, polite, courteous and professional. Rooms cleaned daily whilst I was there. My only criticisms were breakfast was advertised 8To 12 but actually finished at 11. Heated swimming pool wasn't heated. Mind you no one went to the pool as it rained almost every day. However having expressed my views to reception a letter of apology and a bottle of wine was delivered to my room on behalf of management. Overall I had alo Ely winter break at Pyr despite 9days of rain and although I've always previously stayed in Los Boliches I will definitely return to these apartments…
I found this hotel very good. There wasn't a king size bed we asked for, but we put the two single beds together. Even though the hotel was at the center of Fuengirola we slept well. There was a lot of noise from the surrounding night clubs, but when we shut the balcony door, we heard none of it. We also didn't hear a peap from the neighboring rooms. The balcony was big and you are allowed to smoke there. From our balcony you could see the beautiful pool area. We also got sun in our balcony for hours a day. The cleaning was ok. They made our beds and took the garbage out every day, but they did not change the betsheets. Well, I don't change the bedsheets every day at home eighter. I guess there was no air conditioning, but as it is winter, the room was never too hot. The service was good all around. Bonus from the great location and the heated pool.…
We stayed at PYR fuengirola hotel for a week in a 2 bed appartment with sea view. Overall, we had a nice holiday as we were there with another family, however we wouldn't return again to this hotel. This is the first time we have stayed in a 3 star hotel and as a base it it ticks all the boxes. Pro's Spacious appartment for us as a family of 6. Lots of room with 2 x bathrooms and air con was good during our stay. The hotel is situated in a great location for exploring the local area as there are plenty of souvenir shops and restaurants nearby with beach and marina literally opposite hotel where there is a choice of water sports to be found also. Cleaners worked hard in the hotel and tidied our room daily. Con's Breakfast was very basic and boring not worth the money at all. Due to location we found our appartment could be very noisy at night especially on a Saturday. Our appartment was facing the marina and beach and live music is played over at the marina which was sooooo loud the windows were vibrating in our appartment. We had ear plugs in and still struggled to sleep! Wouldn't recommend staying here if you are a light sleeper. We didn't find the staff particularly helpful nor very friendly when we had issues with our booking. They didn't seem interested in wanting to keep their guests happy. Pool area is very strict- no balls allowed not even floats only arm bands. No good for kids who want to have fun! Pool would suit people who just want to stand in the water or swim only. We were told the pool is shared with local residents which is why there is this rule.…
Good location near the harbour and beaches, clean and nice rooms, soft towels and a nice pool bar, BUT... The pool is mainly for adults and close to no playing around and no pool toys in the pool is allowed. Quite noisy airconditioning. The breakfast buffet is the same every day and not worth the money, unless you simply need a cup of coffee, a boring bread roll with butter and jam. The hotel staff is friendly, but do not serve you as a guest. A "customer first" perspective would be appropriate, as this seems more like a me-me-me attitude not serving the hotel guests. One example (of many): asked if we could extend our stay and check out late, the answer was no, because no rooms were available. We merely needed a place to shower and clean up before leaving. I went to booking.com and hotels.com and could easily book several rooms for more days. Asked at the reception if we could book another night, the answer was yes. Why not earn the extra money for a couple of hours late check-out?…
Just come back from fuengirola on July 10 2022 the pyr hotel we stayed in a room facing swimming pool at 11pm at night there was a gentle men's club opened till 7am the next day and a disco opened the same time and closed the same time all night the noise was so loud couldn't open doors never got a good night sleep in two weeks there if you stay there ask for a room on front wouldn't go again are first holiday in two years this wants sorting out people don't go on holiday. To hear that racket
Very disappointing stay. Air conditioning not working, major maintenance activities ongoing but no pre warning before booking, did not have a bar as advertised, electricity switched off without warning, shabby room in dire need of decorating and updating.
A hotel stuck in the 80’s - massive room key Shower curtain in the bathroom Poor wi-fi No kettle in the room We were here over 15 years ago in that time only upgrade seems to be a lick of paint Having said that room is clean and it is in an excellent location
Great location. but..... I was allocated a studio room on the dark side. No winter sun at all ! That was very disappointing . Room was large and recently refurbished . It was cold at night. No heating ! Pool was lovely- heated. Heating required in room at night in the Winter months. Not even a proper duvet !
We upgraded to a Deluxe studio with sea views for 6 nights. When we checked in it was 5pm.The next morning we realised the Studio got NO SUN at all... We asked could we change rooms and they replied they didn't have one till Wednesday. I went on booking. Com and could reserve another room with them!!!! They shown my husband a bog standard room on the 4th floor which was not suitable.... Please Beware of Room 1012B it has NO SUN!!!! we all go to Costa del Sol for The Sun...Even though the room was nice with a Double Bed.
