My twin brother Stephen and I stayed in Hotel Itaca on a weeks holiday in September and what a great stay we had . Booked in immediately by a very pleasant member of staff on reception ,we were allocated a twin room ,room was superb ,beds were comfortable ,flat screen tv ,bathroom was spotlessly clean ,great storage space and a very good balcony ,breakfast was superb ,lots of choice ,evening meal was again superb ,a varied menu ,pool area was really good ,my twin brother Stephen and I swam every day ,pool bar was awesome ,had an evening beer or two every night before we hit the town but what made the stay so good was the staff,a delight and very efficient ,next time I'm back in fuengirola this will be my go to hotel, well worth checking out if you're planning a holiday to this sun drenched resort.…
Awesome hotel we were basically stunned for how cheap this beautiful hotel was. Room was big with balcony. Beds good. Staff seemed extremely nice And The breakfast was best so far at spain on our travels. Really hard to crasp why The like Ratio is so low on this hotel. Also here seems to Be very few people on this hotel we were at breakfast Alone And have only seen very few people here so far.
Clean, air conditioned rooms, friendly staff who help out with anything. Heated pool, poolside bar with food and drinks all typically Spanish. Only downside was paying for the wifi... its 2022 guys?!
Just returned from 5 night stay at the hotel, 16 mature guys on our annual golf break , we have used this hotel many times, excellent staff , central location to town for bars and restaurants at night , 5 minutes stroll to beach, yes the rooms could be updated But for the price you pay it is excellent value, all the staff are superb, we arrived back yesterday and already booked again for next year, I really cannot understand the poor reviews for this hotel it is superb value for what you get, maybe a few guests expect champagne for the same price as water!! CU good people in 2023
The Itaca on Av.Santa Amalia is a fantastic hotel that offers superb accommodation in Fuengirola.Located in a brilliant area were there are many interesting places to go to and an area we have never visited. With nice rooms which are spacious but to be honest a little bit dated to brilliant staff who made our stay a pleasant experience for the seven days we stayed in this superb hotel. With an excellent evening and breakfast to the swimming pool and bar everything was perfect in this hotel and we would return to this hotel in a shot when we visit Fuengirola again. (This is my first review of the Itaca Hotel).
first very helpful staff and clean the lady at the bar was fabulous.food at the bar was nice.the pool was great! bed quite comfortable the room was very basic. the shower was not working properly its was not attended to the wall. we didn't have a balcony so there is absolutely no were to dry wet clothes. big thank you to the night porter who phone us a taxi for the airport. as the one booked at hotel didn'tune up. the hotel just needs some TLC and would be great.
This is a suberb place to stay, It's small and really well located, 4min walk from the beach, 12mins from the big shopping center and 8mins from the Biopark zoo. Can't be faulted for cleanliness, Rooms are cleaned everyday, The pool area is small and sun hits it from around 8.30am. There's only 30 sunbeds which is plenty and it's not conjested. It's a more mature crowd at the hotel so very few kids. The breakfast we didn't find to our liking but the food at the bar was as good as any you could get at similar hotels, Good choice and tasted great, all pricing was reasonable too, Bar opened at around 12pm. Staff could not be faulted, Very nice people. Air con in the room was very good and was worked from remote control. It's also located right beside the police station.
Booked two rooms from the 28th until 30th June 2022. My partner and I were in room 509 and my older kids in 507. The rooms were on the ground floor opposite the pool.. A stone throw away which was very handy. The rooms had good air conditioning and had a fridge and hairdryer. My kids room had problems with the door.. It kept sticking. Yes the rooms would benefit from a bit of renovation and the buildings need a lick of paint but for the price we paid I can't complain. The pool area was generally very quiet and plenty of sunbeds available. The little snack bar was handy and prices reasonable. The staff were friendly. The hotel is towards the end of Fuengirola. It's close to shops and restaurants etc I don't think it's a hotel to spend a fortnight in as there's no entertainment but if the price was right I would consider booking again for a few days. The breakfast was average. The hotel was very clean and the pool cleaned every morning. While we were there it was mainly Spanish young families who were staying there.…
Location is not in main town of fuengirola as stated. Hotel very clean but needs up dating. Rooms clean but little shabby. Food ok but nearly always only warm. Used the microwaves to heat food. Pool was too cold for me, but used small indoor one. Staff always helpful. Needs tea making facilities in rooms. Our last day we were leaving at 7.20 am and could not get a coffee as restaurant didnt open til 8 and all inclusive room wasnt open..
Booked for a golf holiday for me and 3 friends. For the money we payed it us ideally located for our needs. 10 minutes to the square and 2 minutes to the beach. Rooms were cleaned daily and other than being a bit dated it was comfortable. Breakfast covered our needs and staff opened early when we needed to be away before 8am. Pool was great for chilling in afternoon for a few drinks. Will be considered again for next year's trip
