We arrived on the 29th Dec 2022 looking for a quick NYE break away from the cold UK. We got to the hotel and were welcomed by a lovely team on reception, they copied our passports as per normal and were asked which floor we wanted.... We could of had 4, 5, 10 or 13. It's a high hotel so we opted for floor 5 and room 525. We went to the the room and checked it out. Lovely location, right by the lift, fantastic view of the sea, harbour and beach. Not too high and not to low either. Perfect!! The room was clean and had everything we wanted. Yes the glass between the bathroom and bedroom was weird but it didn't bother us at all (after 23 years together why would it! Lol). Would of liked a kettle and tea/coffee making stuff but hey ho, I'm sure reception would be able to help with that but I didn't ask. We opted for breakfast to be included and it was worth it. If you want to buy it it's 11 euro per person. Breakfast was plentiful and really nice. Only down side was the coffee machines were quite slow and the cups a normal standard small size. I would of liked the option to use a paper cup that I could take out with me after breakfast. Location was key for this hotel, right on the front and right in front of all the best eateries you could want. Supermarket next door for everything you need. All staff were great with us and with everyone that we saw. Some people grumbling about stupid stuff but not us! If you are looking for a great place to stay with a great location and great staff then look no further and ignore the bad reviews. Useful review? Please press the Helpful review button. Thanks all…
Stayed here for 4 days at Christmas and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was for the price. We paid extra for a sea view, I recommend doing this as worth the extra money. The breakfast was good and nice selection of food on offer. The rooftop pool bar did nice cocktails with a lovely view to enjoy in the sun. The room had a comfy bed and good shower. It doesn’t have fridge or a kettle, however you can hire these at extra cost. The upkeep of the room was a bit dated and needs some tlc but nothing too bad and it was very clean. The location of the hotel is fabulous and great value for money. I would recommend staying here.
We stayed at this hotel for about a week and it was the worst thing we could do! The staff was EXTREMELY rude towards us, especially during breakfast. It is written that the machines are supposed to be closed by 10:30 am but we clearly saw them being turned off by 10:20 am, so we couldn't eat peacefully because the staff was agitated and constantly hurrying us up. On top of that, despite the fact that the restaurant was full, the staff was always near us (we're Arabs) not only refusing to give us the tables we asked for, but also taking stuff and plates off of our table while we were still eating. That's funny because everyone else was eating without being bothered by anyone. All of the women working in the restaurant were, without any exception, very impolite and insolent. Let's not talk about the stares they gave us. We recommend educating your staff because it seems they aren't familiar with it. To conclude, do not waste your time and money in this hotel. VERY bad experience!…
Great location, right on the sea front. Rooms a bit small but adequate, comfortable bed. Spotlessly clean, Staff were all friendly and obliging. The roof top pool is great with a bar open until 6pm, but with only a few sun loungers. There is a bar area in the foyer which didn't see much custom while we were there, just ourselves and one or two others, so there 's not much chance of socialising with other guests. We went B&B. The buffet breakfast, both hot and cold is adequate I suppose but a bit limited for choice with the same offering everyday. We tried the evening meal once...big mistake. The price (14 euros) should have been a warning. Cold buffet starter was OK but the hot buffet main courses were very poor, no actual meat dish, save for a "Meat cake"??? which was a vague meatloaf with very little taste or texture. Desserts were OK with the odd weird offering ( runny custard served in a small jam jar?.) I'd recommend going room-only and eating elsewhere. which, with hundreds of eateries within a few hundred yards is dead easy,,we recommend Casa Roberto.…
On arrival we got a free upgrade to a sea view room. The rooms were quite nice and the bathroom was nice. The maid came every day for bed service and a general tidy up which was nice. The roof top pool was amazing. Great views all around Fuengirola. I would definitely visit this hotel again even if it were just for the amazing pool. Great location right on the beach front.
Room 931 we were told was a good room by reception staff. See photos and you decide! Have stayed at this hotel before and there are only two reasons to return, location and pool. Everything else is less than desirable. Over the past seven years there has never been one member of reception staff who either smiles or is polite, just indifferent and uninterested. Dining room staff are the same, not one member of staff is engaging or even pleasant. Give you the impression they couldn’t care less whether you were there or not. Room was fine but bathroom disgusting. The owners and management really need to sort this hotel out if they want people to return.
Hi just asking if there are any kettles or fridge in the rooms. As we our heading over next week ,and checking first what is available. All the reviews are very good ,in what I have read so far ,looking forward to a lov break . Thanks
Nice Hotel well situated on the beach front across from the marina. Our room was 723 on the seventh floor straight across from the lift. It had two single beds and plenty of storage/cupboards for clothes also had a safe (payable when checking in). The on suit had a very good shower (only slightly strange has a glass wall between the bedroom). Housekeeping was very friendly and kept the room very clean The view from the balcony was of the beach marina and Mediterranean. Breakfast was buffet plenty of selection and of a good quality. Evening meal was a bit repetitive still good quality and plentiful We went up to the pool and bar nice place to sit and relax. Thank you for a great stay hope to return
We have been to this hotel quite a few times now for weekends away with friends, but this is the first time since the pandemic. The over-riding factor for us choosing this hotel time and time again is the location. Across the road from the beach and marina, just in front of Fish Alley and a stone's throw away from the strip of bars/clubs on the front. The hotel itself and the rooms were spotlessly clean and all of the staff very friendly and helpful. However, I did feel that the room itself is now looking a little tired and in need of a refurb (despite just being recently done). The biggest issue with this hotel is the lifts - particularly if you are in the taller block. One afternoon, we waited about 15 minutes for a lift and even got a member of reception staff to have a look and he couldn't understand what the issue was. However, when we finally bit the bullet and walked up to our room on the 9th floor, it was obvious that the cleaning staff were holding the doors open so that they could access the lifts when they needed them... A little frustrating. I've scored the hotel 4 stars, but I'd like to score it 4.5 if I had the option. I'd have no reservations about staying here again.…
Just returned from el pourto ,after reading some bad reports I was apprehensive about going as we had booked 2 weeks holiday.we are 2 ladies in our 60s we are friends. It is not as bad as people make out but it is not a holiday hotel it is more transient for people wanting to visit the area and have somewhere to lay their head .there is no appreciation that you have spent a lot of money to stay in their hotel.reception staff ok but they prefer Spanish residents , bar staff in reception area are so rude twice I tried to get served and they just carried on talking to each other so I walked away, no customer service skills at all.restaurant staff are very reserved only the odd one say hello..the best staff are the chamber maids they always speak and are very helpful..the rooms are kept spotless.we was never woke up early.the bathrooms are very small and not private at all.because we are friends one of us kept going out to give the other person privacy for the toilet, Something needs to be done re pool bar it is our pool to use but you can only drink and eat anything bought up there.but it is expensive and some budgets won't stretch to using the bar.again some staff speak and make you feel welcome.breakfast good but evening meal needs looking at as it is repetative and uninviting unless you love sweet things.please be aware it is not mobile friendly with restaurant being up on the first floor of a different block so your down in one lift and back up in another .as the lifts are not very reliable it can take a while to get to the restaurant. I wouldn't personally go back but it is central and very clean.maybe because I served all my career in customer service I expect to be looked after as I would have served residents.maybe they should have a mystery resident to report back to management re the failings of staff.after all we are the people who keep the money coming in and keep the Spanish economy going.please dont worry if you have booked to go as it is not to bad....…
