Can't say enough about Felipe and Reyes, our wonderful hosts, who made us feel more like long lost friends than guests in a regular hotel. Arrived in pouring rain, the GPS sent us to the wrong street. The Owner Felipe ran out to help us, practically ran ahead of the car, stopped straffic on one way street to guide us....

If you want to stay in a modern, chain hotel - this will not be your thing. For a sophisticated traveler in search of unique and authentic experiences, Casa Carmona is a delight. This is a mansion built is the 1500s and it is oozing with the elegance of centuries past. It may not get dusted daily, but so much...

We had looked forward to staying at this hotel and were very disappointed. The reviews we read must have been years old. The hotel needs a total renovation. The decor is old and dusty. Bedskirts are ripped. Wall paper is peeling. The elevator does not work and the restaurant is not open. The pool is not in use. We had...

My friend who works in hotel public relations suggested I stay here. She knows a bit about hotels having done PR for some of the worlds best five star hotels, however reading some of the reviews on here and other sites made me a bit sceptical! None the less I had a night to spare before joining my family for...

The Casa de Carmona is not 5 star like the Hilton is 5 star. But for atmosphere, charm, authenticity, space and decor it beats any 5 star hotel every time. The surroundings are beautiful and we had a delicious meal in the restaurant. The courtyard is a great place to sit with a book in the baking heat, and the...

Having stayed in this beautiful place last month, it was our idea to organise a family reunion with 20 of us, this time here. Felipe and Reyes made our stay fantastic and we left with beautiful memories. This charming unique place is not a modern 5 star hotel, but a place you need to treasure and can only appreciate in...

Please do not stay at this hotel! I booked it for our last night after a city break in Seville. It is advertised as a "5 star luxury hotel". On arrival, there was nobody at reception and we had to wait for 20 minutes to find any member of staff. When the lady arrived she walked us through a dark,...

I first went to Spain in 1972 as a student. Casa de Carmona in Carmona hearkens back to those days. Large rooms, fantastic open courtyards, a library that looks right out of the 18th century. The owner is a Sevillano with a philosophical bent who speaks great English and has spent considerable time in the States (getting a degree at...

Our guidebook places this hotel alongside the Parador, " how to choose between them?". We phoned in the morning to confirm our reservation and arrival time, but when we arrived the place was locked-up and no-one answered our calls. When we finally checked-in an hour or so later we had to carry our bags around the elegant courtyard and up...
