My friends and I were going to Mullingar for the weekend so needed to check out B/B's, we chose Woodside because of what other guests had written about it and it was only 5 mins from the town centre. We arrived on Fri afternoon and dropped off our bags before hitting the shops. Mary very kindly stayed on the phone to direct us into town pointing out the best places for parking, shopping, eating drinking etc, her directions were spot on, I assume she is well used to telling her guests the same thing over and over ( been in the b/b business since 1992), she was ever so helpful during our entire stay. Comfy beds, lots of hot showers and a gorgeous breakfast both mornings (with plenty of chat from Mary), her husband Tony deserves a mention, he helps in the house and he had a lot of leaves to clear up outside, also Anna for cooking and she brought out hot water to clear the frost from our car. I could go on about this house and its owners but suffice to say you will not be disappointed if you stay here. If I have reason to go to Mullingar again I will be heading to Mary and Tony for shelter !!! By the way all the locals in Mullingar shops, pubs etc are very friendly.…
Clean, nice, private, very close to town---keepers seem nice enough. We haven't had much interaction as the wife is sick. No other guest are here so we have the run of the place. We walked to town for dinner and bar hopping. Felt safe....The owner did call town and help us with a reservation in a busy restaurant. We have to leave early for an early flight-inn keeper volunteered to our our breakfast early for us. This B and B is about an hour from Dublin airport.
Thank you very much for the very warm Welcome Tony and Mary. It was was fantastic in your House and the Irish Breakfast was great. The B&B was simply founded and the way to Town_Centre was OK,,,the Restaurant Oscar was very Good,,,
We got a very warm welcome from Mary when we arrived - a beautiful home, we were given a choice of rooms, there was a lovely comfortable sitting room available to guests, and a lavish breakfast next morning. Mary and Tony were warm and welcoming and nothing was any trouble - no hesitation in recommending Woodside as top quality.
A little hard to find, but very nice, rooms are upstairs, which is hard to get luggage up. Mary is wonderful, she made us a pot of tea at 4 pm. We came early but Mary showed us to our room. I would recommend this Bed and breakfast
