Novara House B&B is modern, spacious, sparkling clean, it is on a quiet street, yet close to the city center and the M4 motorway. Breakfast is diverse, you have many dishes to choose from. Above all, the cordial attitude of the couple running this guest house is praiseworthy. I wholeheartedly recommend Novara House B&B!
Margaret & Ritchie are friendly, interested, and good-humoured. They go out of their way to make you welcome. We felt we'd known them all our lives! Mullingar is not the prettiest town in Ireland but there are some excellent restaurants and the people are friendly. We'd strongly recommend you stay here. We were sorry to leave.
We arrived late because of flight delay. The owner had to wait very long and yet gave us a very worm welcome. The rooms are spacious and the breakfast was excellent. There is a worm atmosphere in the house. Last year the house was already booked when we inquired but the owner helped us to find a good alternative.
Although we were last minute guests, we were welcomed by Ritchie with a warm cup of tea and biscuits and a fun lesson on the sport of hurling which he was watching on the telly when we arrived. His warm welcome was only surpassed by his lovely wife Margaret, who we had the chance to chat with the following day at breakfast, they prepared earlier than usual so we could make our flight back home. Thank you to both of you for opening your home to us at the last minute and making us feel so welcome.
Welcomed at the door by Margaret and then a pot of tea, just the sort of welcome you imagine from an Irish B and B! Great breakfast and Ritchie makes potato cakes to have with it which are lovely. I came back from town to another pot of tea which I loved, and told to help myself to a cuppa if they were not around, which is what made it really comfortable. It is about fifteen minute walk to town along the main road, and is quitter than the places to stay in town which I preferred
