What a wonderful treasure. The personal welcome, the friendliness and kindness of the staff, the memorable food - best blue steak for a long time - and what a setting for a historic house where all - even your precious dogs - are made feel at home. Wonderful, old, homely country house. Lovely to get to enjoy the house, food and service over two days. The marquee surprised me in that it was warm and the clear side meant that we had great views of the lake. We stayed in the back gate lodge which has been just renovated. It is a little distance from the house.

My wife and I attended a wedding here in March 2017. We couldn't believe we had not heard of it before. It is a fantastic wedding venue, with a stunning setting, lovely marquee and restaurant-standard food. Highly recommended.
