Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.

Beautiful hotel . Had stayed here before for my brothers wedding which he had in this hotel and it was a brillant venue inside and outside hotel . Rooms are beautiful and clean . Breakfast is top class . Bedrooms lovely and clean but a bit too warm .Tea and coffee in bedrooms but would love to see water in bedrooms too . Had few drinks Friday night in bar and a lovely polish lad who was only there 3 days gave us a little giggle my husband asked for pint of Heineken it was he’s second one and the young lad said you have one and my husband said jokingly yes and I might have two laughing and because I work in a bar I said to him he’s going to give you two pints now you eejit and Dan said no way he won’t and low and behold he put up two pints he obviously don’t know our sayings in this country yet but he will get used to it he was a sweet young man so we hadn’t the heart to say it to him , but my husband drank them anyway . Overall a lovely stay everytime we passed reception a lively greeting from staff which made us feel welcome . We will be back but a minimum stay of two nights might be hard as I work in a busy bar it’s a pity you can’t get a nights stay as I only go up to visit my parents and one night would be so handy .

Breakfast was excellent, one of the best we have had, evening meal top class. All of the staff friendly and courteous. We both agreed that everything about the Abbey was calm and relaxing. We loved our couple of nights stay. Would definitely recommend and look forward to our return.

A great stay at this welcoming hotel where every member of the team really appeared to love their job and loved looking after us. Nothing was too much trouble from ensuring the room was warm and comfortable and accessible for my Mums needs - to also listening carefully and delivering particular food requests ( the very hot soup and eggs cooked perfectly were much appreciated!) It is really great to observe when the customer is really listened to and looked after with great enthusiasm and willingness. The A La Carte breakfast options were superb - fantastic choices and am still dreaming of the little scones served freshly baked. A good choice of Evening meals and portion sizes were very generous! Great service was consistently delivered and it was really nice to observe that a Duty manager was always on duty and also very visible in assisting the team and keeping an overall vision. A friendly welcome always given as we walked through the lobby - which was the most delightful place to sit having a coffee and meeting friends. We really feel the Abbeycourt is a home from home and feel so comfortable staying there. From chatting to Brian - the manager - am aware that some remodelling of bedrooms is due and am sure that will only add to the ambience of the hotel. Thank you everyone for a lovely stay - and look forward to seeing you again in the near future.

Stayed here two nights in the family room to attend a wedding in Cloughjordan and could not be more satisfied with the room we got and the service we received from reception and breakfast hotel staff. All super friendly and nice and the quality of both service and breakfast food was excellent. Would stay here again if I'm ever in the area.

If you are looking for a child friendly place..this is not it. 9.50 for a kids toasted cheese sandwich. Asked to pay an extra 2.50 for chips. So basically 12 euro for a kids toasted sandwich and chips. An absolute rip off !!

Beautiful food. Clean, spacious rooms. Attentive, friendly staff. Great experience in the Hair Studio. Great leisure facilities. We had some issues with hot water and the shower, otherwise this would have been a 5/5 review.

We stayed here as we were attending a wedding in a nearby venue. The staff were very friendly and professional. It is an older property so the room was a lovely big size very roomy and airy. The room was also very warm and comfortable. Loads of hot water and a great pressure on the shower. The shower was in a bath however so it could be difficult for some maybe. Breakfast was really great with a wide variety to choose from. Had a lovely stroll in the well established gardens.I would have loved to stay another day.

Our two-day stay at the Abbey Court Hotel was an excellent experience. We received excellent service from excellent staff. It was very good value for money. I also rented a meeting room for two days and that was also excellent and very good value. We dined in the restaurant on both evenings and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Again, it was good value for money. Highly recommended. for business or pleasure.
