This was our second visit to Williamsferry House and we would certainly stay there again in future. The accommodation is welcoming, clean and comfortable with off road parking and generous breakfasts.Mary is a friendly and interesting host, who gave us fascinating information about the history of the house and the local area, and made suggestions about interesting places to visit a bit further afield. The house is 5 minutes walk from the centre of Nenagh, a busy market town with plenty of shops and pubs, (a nice change from online shopping!) as well as sites of historical interest. It is a good base for exploring the beautiful Shannon estuary, the West Clare peninsula, and the Wild Atlantic Way.

Thank you for the kind review and glad you got to experience Nenagh again for a few nights before travelling onto Doolin and the Burren. Glad the suggestions worked out ok for you both. Nenagh is a central base for those travelling in many different directions. I am currently preparing a booklet on the history of Williamsferry and I glad to be able to share that and have plenty of books with historical references regarding the town. Wishing you all the very best for now.

The best place/experience in Ireland. The house is extremely beautiful. The bedroom is large, comfortable very well decorated besides the bed there was a very nice sofá to relax. The available products were special (shampoo, shower gel, hand cream). Outside you have a lovely garden to sit down and read, relax and enjoy. Inside you also have a very cozy living room where you can enjoy your time reading, talking or even playing the piano. The breakfast room was absolutely loverly . The breakfast had a big variety of cereals, kinds of tea, cheese, fruit ... everything was so delicious and the environment with the music makes us feel so well that we would spend hours enjoying our breakfast.
It was actually the best experience I had in this trip to Ireland. I recommend this place if you like the best place to stay.

A lovely old property, beautifully decorated and well maintained. Comfortable bedroom and a charming sitting room for guests, with lots of books including local history and places of interest. The B&B is close to the town centre, just a couple of minutes to the shops, cafes, castle and genealogical centre. Mary knows lots about the town and gave us suggestions about people and places to visit to follow up our family history. Well adapted to deal with the Covid concerns, generous DIY breakfasts and facilities to bring back takeaway food. Looking forward to visiting again.

I stayed at Mary's place for several weeks while working on a project in Nenagh. Mary is a wonderful host: always available and helping, she really made it an unforgettable stay.
The room was very spacious, clean and well-equipped. Also the common areas (dining and living room) are great to hang out. A fridge was always well stuffed and available, even outside of the breakfast hours.
Would be happy to come back, absolutely 1st choice in Nenagh.

This is a lovely B&B, a family home in the heart of Nenagh operated by the daughter of the original owner. The home is maintained spotlessly. The breakfast area is spacious and always prepared with place settings, continental breakfast items and a refrigerator to keep personal items. Our bedroom was spacious, comfortable with a full bath included. The TV was placed in an awkward area above to the left of the headboards. But we didn't spend much time watching TV so it didn't really matter. The owner was very attentive and concerned that all our needs were met. On our last day, we returned from a long, night drive from Dublin and had to catch our plane home the next morning. The owner voluntarily met us and brougth us a lovely, complimentary cheese board to our room. It hit the spot.
If stairs are an issue, be sure to request a downstairs room when booking.
Ample parking off the street was a big plus.

Our stay at Williamsferry was exceptional.

The rooms were super clean and cozy, same for the bathrooms. We were also allowed to use all facilities such as a living room and since the weather wasn’t that good one afternoon it was super good to have a nice place to chill.

The breakfast was delicious and Mary was an extraordinary host, always looking forward to help and very attentive.

I recommend a 100% and we are looking forward to go back.

We stayed with Mary for two nights for a family visit. Right from the welcome we felt right at home. Our room was spacious, clean and really beautifully furnished. The bathroom was the same. Breakfast was lovely, HUGE choice and Mary went out of her way to make sure we had everything we wanted.
There’s tea and coffee and all sorts of other refreshments available in the dining room.
Plenty of off road parking.
Location is conveniently central and you can just walk into town for the shops, cafes etc.
All in all, really lovely and we will definitely be back in the summer when we visit again, if not before.

Mary is a wonderful host and the B&B is perfect. Right in the heart of Nenagh Town, the rooms are lovely and spacious, with plenty of towels, tea/ coffee and water. Great breakfast options and Mary will give ye a few good tips for local eating and drinking too.

We used this as a base to do walks and cycles in the area. Climbed Keeper Hill in the Silvermines and Toutinna in the Arra mountains with fab views over Lough Derg. All very accessible from nenagh by bike and I would also recommend a visit to Larkin's pub in Garrykennedy for a pint and a bowl of chowder!

Fantastic!

Glad you enjoyed exploring this part of Tipperary through some walking and cycling. As you found, there are some lovely lakeside villages and places to stop off for food and refreshments along the way. Larkin's pub/restaurant in Garrykennedy is well recognised as a great stop off place in Garrykennedy while touring Lough Derg. Nenagh is a great gateway to the outdoors with mountains and lake so plenty to keep you on the move. Thank you for your kind review and hopefully you might return for explore more of the area.

My first stay in Nenagh was a very relaxing one thanks to Mary the owner and this lovely and very tastefull decorated house.
The room was lovely and spacious, the bed very comfortable and breakfasts were available with fresh fruits end great coffee. Outside spacious parking and very convenient for walking into town. The surrounding Tipperary area/ countryside had much to offer in the sence of roadtrips, hikes, lakes and musicsessions in gorgious old pubs. All shops and restaurants simply around the corner.
The house itself is a historic place and it was intresting to hear about life in and around it in the old days, taken well care of now by Mary and her family.
I can recommend Williamsferry house as great value and perfect choise.

Glad you enjoyed your first stay in Nenagh while experiencing the town and the surrounding countryside. Visitors to Nenagh are often surprised at how central it is as a base with many places to visit on day trips. Williamsferry has it's own story in history which is now recorded here. It is important for us that the character and charm of the place sits side by side with good comfort level for guests. Thank you for your review wishing you all the best.
