Excellent location, right next to a wonderful (surf) beach and 15 mins from Sligo with frequent buses. Normal beachbreaks in middle of beach, point break on right and rivermouth on left. Waves for every level, here or nearby. Bundoran (with Mullaghmore Head) and Easky 40 mins drive in opposite directions. A typical Irish pub across road with live folk music...

Great set of staff from all over the world working there. Arrived after dark and were warmly welcomed with a wallowing broth of soup. Lovely atmosphere even though the place was nearly empty. Met the magnificently friendly owner Michael. Chatted with the staff about language and shared travelling stories. Located right across the road from the Strand Pub which is...

The staff was amazing and very helpful at all times. A great central area for any of the local activities as well! I loved my stay here and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a simple yet fun time in a beautiful area.

We arrived late on a stormy and snowy afternoon with no booking. We stayed in the lodge section in a cute wee room with small bathroom. Shower was good. Included good continental breakfast. Staff was lovely and helpful. Good at/restaurant near by.

It is only a hostel and it is kept clean, but to be honest it isn't great either. The toilets are all partitions without sinks, the only sinks are in the two showers so if somebody is using the shower you can't wash your hands after using the toilets. And for a surf hostel that could have nearly 30 people...

I spent 4 nights in Strandhill and now I'm glad to share my experience with other travelers: this is a very nice hostel, clean and quiet, just in front of the Strandhill beach. The four bed dormitory is very comfortable (the room is big and bright), the beds are clean, as well as the showers and the toilets. The kitchen...

Very nice hostel, clean and comfortable bedrooms, the staff is really kind and the breakfast is delicious. It's near the seaside and you can have surf lessons at interesting prices. Alternatively you can have long walks along the sea or through the woods. Wonderful place!

A clean hostel in this town that is a good deal for the money. The showers and bathrooms are clean but could use a couple of extra hooks for clothes. It had a great little meeting room and a place for everyone to chat at breakfast.
