I spent 4 nights in Strandhill and now I'm glad to share my experience with other travelers: this is a very nice hostel, clean and quiet, just in front of the Strandhill beach. The four bed dormitory is very comfortable (the room is big and bright), the beds are clean, as well as the showers and the toilets. The kitchen... More

Very nice hostel, clean and comfortable bedrooms, the staff is really kind and the breakfast is delicious. It's near the seaside and you can have surf lessons at interesting prices. Alternatively you can have long walks along the sea or through the woods. Wonderful place!

A clean hostel in this town that is a good deal for the money. The showers and bathrooms are clean but could use a couple of extra hooks for clothes. It had a great little meeting room and a place for everyone to chat at breakfast.

Even though the first impression when walking through the door was not that good, I was positively surprised when I came into the room. Everything was clean and looked very nice (see picture) and the bed was very comfortable. Then it's only a 2 min walk to the beach, that's really great and the breakfast was ok, too. Unfortunately you... More

Friendly personnel, but the room (lodge part) was old with loads of dust. The bed was very old and small with a soft mattress and the springs were pushing in our backs. We only stayed one night and went to another B&B for the remaining nights. Location very good close to the beach, but we did not find the room... More

I really enjoyed my stay in this hostel. I stayed for two nights here and it was a blast. The hostel is right next to the beach and has beautiful nature all around. Everything was nice and clean. The best part was the staff tho! Everyone was extremely sweet. Thank you!

Over night stay. Double en suite bedroom with tea and coffee making facilities. Beds were comfortable and clean. Self service breakfast was a good idea but for those who got to the table later, would have been greeted with the dirty dishes. Very noisy outside due to young people talking about their own travels whilst smoking, was the only thing wrong.

Not overly impressed with the attitude of the manager. Almost felt like I'd committed a crime by being a single traveller and booking a room rather than opting for the dorm. The room was comfortable enough, albeit somewhat dilapidated and small. Breakfast was fine. Way overpriced for what you got.

I did not expect too much for a hostel accommodation but I was very impressed. The welcome was personal and friendly and was available as we arrived. An Italian host was very engaging and helpful and took time to show us the facilities and make us welcome. The room was clean, bright and perfectly good value equipped with the basic... More
