Really great stay here, had one of the rooms on the top floor with balcony and sea view. Room was huge and bed very comfortable. Breakfast is continental, adequate. Staff here can’t do enough to make your stay great, Ciara was so helpful when I booked and made sure I got the room that suited me best. She also offered to book restaurants. Location is good for Sligo if you’re driving, not much public transport but that’s not the fault of the hotel.

Outstanding care and hospitality. This hotel is very well run and I know as that is my own line of business. The care and hospitality shown by every staff member is second to none. The rooms are impeccable the level of cleanliness is amazing. Breakfast is delicious, well stocked with a great variety. We will be back again and again and again.

Terrific spot in a lovely location. Immaculate and nice size room. Comfy bed!! The balcony has very nice views over the water and surrounding area. Great for a beach walk not far away Continental breakfast is plentiful. Friendly staff who were welcoming. Excellent restaurant next door, the Venue

5 out of 5! From reception to rooms everything was perfect. All the staff ever so helpful! With audio/visual entertainment in rooms spoilt for choice! Tea & coffee facilities just the trick for morning wakeups! Well worth the trip! Thank you again!

The location and views from the rooms is great - you can also walk from here down to the oceanfront in about 10 to 15 minutes and enjoy some ice cream or pick up some food at the local restaurants - it's a little cute "oceanfront town" It's almost a shame to stay here just for 1 night, like we did, as Strandhill was one of my fav locations in Ireland and I could see myself coming here for a weekend getaway and the like, had I been living in Ireland :) TIP: some people here criticize the breakfast but while it wasn't anything outstanding it was the typical continental breakfast many other hotels serve and having it here on the spot, included in the stay, was fine by us

Great room with balcony so we saw an amazing sunset. Tricky step to the balcony - slippery with a broken slab. Continental breccy only and dins in pub next door so felt a bit motelish overall. Didn’t like the plastic wrapping of ham/cheese and plastic cups not glasses in room. Pics are of balcony views. Strandhills is lovely. Overall, friendly, clean and accommodating so would stay here again :)

The entire Strandhill Inn & Suites experience from start to finish was magical...from the professional staff and service to the Idyllic Oceanview and room. We were treated very well and will return everytime we are in the area! Breakfast was a real bonus. 5 stars all the way around

Excellent from start to finish. I’m guessing that the chap who welcomed us upon arrival was an owner of the establishment as he was just too invested in the wellbeing of his guests to be an employee - welcoming people on check in, overseeing breakfast and recommending and making restaurant bookings. An exceptionally well run operation with rooms well set up with everything you’re likely to need. I think it’s pretty unreasonable to moan about the continental breakfast at this price point. These are well appointed rooms with balconies overlooking the sea in a lovely little seaside town - in the U.K. now Premier Inn are up to these prices in the summer months with inferior rooms; no breakfast; no balcony; and no personal service! Not to mention of course that this is positioned right next door to an excellent pub/restaurant where your Premier Inn is usually next to a decidedly average Whitbread pub invariably with a truly lousy food offering! Well done Strandill Suites - an excellent job!…

I apologise its taken me so long to write this review, ive no idea why, i should have done it immediately on return. I loved absolutely everything about my stay in Strandhill Lodge and Suites, from my first email contacts to checkout after 3 great nights, it could not have been better. A warm welcome from Ciara on arrival, beautiful clean spacious room with balcony and great views and the breakfast room was a delight - loads of variety, hot porridge if you wanted it and such a bright homely space - just perfect. I got a takeaway one night and it was absolutely no problem when I asked to borrow cutlery - got a plate and wine glass as well! I felt very safe here as a solo traveller and it was just a great opportunity for me to chill out and relax. I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending it, in fact, I would actively encourage it. Hope to be back again, thank-you very much for everything.…

The rooms are spacious and comfortable - although the pillows are a little hard if I’m to be picky. The girl at reception was so friendly and helpful, she really made us welcome. Our room was on the second floor and had a lovely sea view. My one criticism would be the continental breakfast. While there was a wide variety of cereals, the pastries offered were wrapped in plastic and stale. The bowels of fruit were extremely basic and small. For nearly €150 for the night I would expect a little more.
