Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Staff were friendly and helpful, stayed for two nights and couldn't fault anything. Breakfast was a continental buffet with plenty of choice. Rooms are spacious, clean & tidy. Coffee and tea were provided along with bottled water.

Have just come back from an absolutly lovely weekend away in Silgo. People are giving out about staycation prices but I think that this hotel is worth the few euro extra. We had a lovely welcome from David at reception and throughout the 2 short days we were there the staff were brilliant. The room was lovely, clean and had a fab view from the balcony. I was slightly concerned about the bar next door but as soon as the balcony door was closed just silence. We chose to go to the Dunes bar up the road(slightly cheaper pricing on food) even though it does not open until 5 it is worth the wait the food is lovely and staff are welcoming and chilled. We took a stroll 'down town' as we were blessed with the weather. There is not much going on but that suited us..take a stroll along the beach or have a seaweed bath at Voya.. I would highly recommend this place if you looking for a real R&R experience..there are lots of walking trails for those feeling a bit more active . Will definitely be back again. Thanks to all the staff at this hotel for a super stay 😁

We arrived unplanned and the receptionist was very friendly and sorted us with a comfortable large bedroom and booked us a table at the bar/restaurant next door which was also excellent. The icing on the cake was a really excellent manager who took a lot of time to tell us about Strandhill and the legendary Queen Meabh burial cairn. Nice breakfast and all round great find.

Corporate style accommodation we got checked-in quickly to our 2nd floor room, which was spacious, clean and tidy. The balcony afforded a view out to sea. There was plenty of hot water and the wifi worked well. Breakfast is continental style, which can be delivered to your room. We found it to be high quality. Unfortunately the pub right next door is noisy in the evening and the walls are very thin, so we also experienced quite a bit of noise from other guests. This is not what I would describe as a boutique hotel, nevertheless it’s a comfortable place to stay at a reasonable price.

Stayed here mid October for one night. Excellent staff, immaculately clean and good value for money. Breakfast was continental and very pleasant. Location is ideal especially if you’re based there for tourism. Views from my room were amazing. Easy to recommend and I’ll certainly be going back.

Stayed here with my two sisters for s as much needed break. We have stayed before and will be back. Large clean warm room. Spotless bathroom. Clean towels, bottled water and toilet paper left outside the room every day (Covid measures). Very cheerful man cleaning the vacated rooms. Very friendly staff and good breakfast (veggie friendly). Two good nights sleep - quiet and cozy!

The sunset view from our balcony was heavenly. Breakfast delivered to our room in a basket was a delight. Everything else during our stay was 100% perfect and as advertised! After reading some of the other reviews...... The nocturnal movements of other guests wasn't a problem for us?! The shampoo and shower gel was an upmarket delight :D Set my alarm for 5.30am and went looking for coffee and found it weirdly!.... Went on a boiled egg hunt in the morning, which was disappointing and exhileriting in equal measure because I found them straight away too. Game over but a satisfied belly! Hotel was exactly where it was supposed to be, in Strandhill and not in Sligo town! Did I miss anything? Oh ya, the hotel was thankfully up to 4 star "IRL" standards ;) All things considered.... I will most definitely be returning and also recommending to others. Cheers Dave :)

Everything about this visit was good. Super clean. Rooms & bathrooms spacious. Sea view from balcony. Tea/coffee, safe, fridge in room + tea/coffee facilities in residents very comfortable sitting-room. Very efficient friendly staff. Ice machine + chilled water machine. And I was sooo..impressed with range of food on offer for the continental b/fast which was available until 11am. Or we could have opted for b/fast in our room/balcony. And excellent value foe money. Ill definitely be returning and recommending it

Our experience at this accommodation was marvellous. Such a very friendly, comfortable and very clean place. David and Ciara were so friendly and helpful and made our visit so worthwhile. Cannot but recommend it highly enough. It is a nice walking distance to the beach but your return walk can be a little challenge.

Arrived for a couple of days of recharging. Honestly, this place is just next level. My room is absolutely perfect, clean, big, comfortable and has everything! Breakfast is delivered in a picnic basket at my room, was incredible. Service from front desk os so friendly and personable. I will never not stay here of I come to Strandhill again. Perfect hotel.
