I visited with my partner (age 29), our dog (4 months), and my parents (60-70). We stayed in one of the converted barns (which Colm advised us would have used to house the bulls) we had 2 bedrooms, 1 en suite bathroom, 1 toilet, and 1 main bathroom which was ample for the 4 of us. The lounge / kitchen...

He had a selection of takeaway menus that he highly recommended. He was so helpful and such a gentleman. Strand Bar in Strandhill had exceptional pizzas at approx...

If your looking for a place you can bring your family and dog to enjoy walks on a private country estate this is ideal. It's 10 min from Sligo town which means that we were never too far from anything. The other think the Markree benefits from is the friendly and informative chap that works there Colm a true gentlemen.

Colm was really welcoming and helpful, and he made some great recommendations as to where to eat. The draft house in Strandhill has excellent food and lots...

We have stayed previously in the castle but this was our first stay in at Home farm. Initially difficult to communicate and book an apartment, but perseverance and Facebook messenger got us there in the end. The apartments are within the beautiful grounds of Markee Castle. The apartments are very comfortable and well equipped for visitors. Presented nicely and very...

Our 2 bed apartment was lovely. It had everything we needed with beautiful views from the master bedroom and the kitchen looking out over the pond with its unique fountain. The grounds were a revelation with sculptural pieces from local artists including the statues of women carrying water up from the river and the gates were works of art. I...

Markree was so much more than we expected. We stayed with a group for a weekend and took the Granary House and two apartments for our stay, each of which was immaculately maintained and appointed. The interior design in the Granary House is exceptional and the hot tub and sauna are very impressive. The Homefarm is set in the grounds...
