It has been 10 years since I last stayed at Markree castle - And the return stay was as good as the previous. we had a great stay and highly recommend markree. The service is impeccable and the rooms are great

The castle grounds are just amazing, from the moment you cross the entrance the filling is like your back on time. This is a 3 start castle or country house. So don't expect kings and queens coming down from the lovely wooden stairs! The rooms are just basic, but ok. Staff very friendly. The food was good to! Nice for...

November 2014, on a Sunday Afternoon, my friend & i stopped in for tea at Markree Castle, Collooney. The road to the entrance for the Castle is stunningly beautiful, driving along the winding Unshin River, there are magnificent old trees & shrubs that abound the area, as we entered the drive, we passed a number of folks riding, as well...

A very beautifull place. We stayed at Johny Cash room and we tried to do as much as many thigs into the castle . The breakfast was awesome and also the room and the beds . Its worth the many we spent and we also had the whole time hot water and a very good temp inside the room. It...
