I have stayed at the Abbey twice now. The people are friendly, the hotel setting is lovely, set in an old manor house. It is an old style hotel but that adds to its charm. All the modern amenities including wifi and an excellent health club.

Have eaten here many many times, the food, friendliness of the staff and setting of this wonderful hotel keeps drawing us back. Run by the Greally family so professionally, you won't visit the Abbey Hotel without meeting a member of the family. Well worth a visit you won't be disappointed.

We had a groupon voucher to stay at this hotel. It's lovely, the room was really nice, the staff were amazingly helpful, especially Carmel on reception and Elaine in reservations. The food was really nice, a toasted sandwich and side order for around 10 euro. It was tasty and filling. Both of us had had a harrowing few months and...

We stayed here for a friends wedding but weren't that impressed at all. We had high hopes from the website but when we arrived, we had to walk in the rain from the car park which was on the far side of he hotel. Then our room was basic, with a very small bed. We have a super king size...

Stopped off for a cuppa with the family mid week having been at a wedding here 13 yrs ago. Not a single member of staff said hello as we entered. Receptionists, man and woman, looked at us and said nothing. No smile. Nothing. Went into the bar. Reception there was much better but there was a table of 2 women...

As the name states this is a former manor/abbey type house. The decor and furnishings reflect same and this is quite befitting of the venue. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. I've had problems recently with the lack of heat at this time of year in hotels, not the case here, very comfortably warm throughout on a continous basis....
