I stayed in Hannons Hotel last Friday 14th July. I was with a group of 19 people who were involved in a charity cycle and the weather was horrendous. On arrival Claire and Ursula were very quick to sort out our room keys and they even took our jerseys and washed/dried them for us as we had a second day of cycling to complete. They gave us a room to store all our bicycles in and made sure extra towels were sent up to the rooms. I cannot applaud the hotel staff enough. The food was delicious and our server Ellen , polite, speedy and obliging. From the original booking with Steve to Damien confirming all was well with breakfast, we had a fabulous night and would highly recommend Hannon’s Hotel. I certainly will be back in the future.

I booked a bus party of 33 into Hannon's Hotel for a 2 night stay. We were booked on a B&B basis with one evening meal on the Saturday night. From the first minute when I made initial contact with Steven on the main desk to make our booking until we checked out on the Sunday we were looked after fantastically. The staff in the bar were great craic especially Padraic who got on so well with everyone. The rooms were spacious, clean and had every requirement. The breakfast in the morning delicious and you could see it was freshly cooked not keep up for hours on some hot plate. We had a four course meal on the Saturday night which was cooked to perfection and exceptionally good value. I closing I would not hesitate to book Hannon's Hotel and I commend Steven and his team for making our stay so great. PS The whole package was extremely good value compared to other hotels in the area.

Lovely hotel, rooms are very clean and the food was lovely. Superb goats cheese salad to start and a Thai Curry as main dish was delicious with lots of fresh vegetables. Staff very friendly and helpful. Very reasonable also. Nice outdoor dining area

I visited with my family two weeks ago, the staff forgot our booking and jammed us between two tables, in the walkway. We were very close to other tables. They were also allowing non residents to eat inside. I think this was out of pure greed.
We all ordered mains which took 45 minutes to come out. The curry was disgusting, definitely a powder mix. The lasagne was slop thrown on a plate. My salad dressing was very potent, it actually made me ill for the following 24 hours. None of our chips actually arrived. The salad itself was soggy and obviously out of date.
We asked for the bill and it had the wrong items, we tried to question the staff but they are so young and inexperienced that they were like a rabbit caught in headlights.
This place came across as trying to charge hotel quality prices without putting in the effort. No decent chef would have served that food.
The ingredients are bit good quality.
My family have spread the word and will not be eating there again

My friend and I stayed at Hannons recently.
We had checked in early afternoon but our 2 rooms were not ready so our luggage remained in our cars. We were going to a function not in the hotel & were given our keys for later.
When we returned much later that night the man at reception told me there was a problem with my room and I was being moved to a different room. The receptionist was gone off duty very shortly afterwards so there was nobody to help when I discovered my room absolutely stank of cigarettes and there was no toilet paper in the not so clean bathroom. I had to sleep with both windows open the smell was so bad. Note this was on a stormy night in late December.
Next morning I complained at reception and while the receptionist was embarrassed and apologised for the "oversights 'it just was not good enough. The hotel is basic in nature and the overnight rate was expensive for the basic nature and layout of the hotel. I absolutely will not be returning to repeat the experience.

Because of personal circumstances, I am staying at this hotel in roscommon town. It is family run and owned. The rooms are immaculate and roomy. The managers Michelle and Steve are beyond helpful and I have to make particular mention to the young staff in the bar and restaurant who are brilliant. The food is unpretentious and delicious but be warned, the portions are huge and fantastic value! Ok, yes, it's only fair of me to say that the owners are old family friends, but that is not why I'm writing this review. It is genuinely a fantastic, warm welcoming home from home. I'm going through something of a family situation and being here is the best place. I cannot recommend this hotel high enough

Travelled from London to visit family in Roscommon, had stayed in Hannon’s previously pre lockdown and had been very impressed. Our stay was not recommended and would not recommend this hotel as value for money. On arrival the rooms were very cold, hotel was dated, toilet door completely jammed and it took two of us to force the door open. No extra blankets, one toilet roll per couple for 2 days, no toilet brush, very basic. When we lift to visit an unwell relative we received a phone call advising that one payment had not gone through and we were asked to return to the hotel only to be told it was their error. On our return to Roscommon we won’t be staying here, very poor.

Wemt with my friends for dinner last week. after the meal we relaxed a while as the hotel was not busy that day, only 2 people apart from our group at the bar. We were approached by a member of staff that looked at her watch impatiently and asked " did we want anything else"
Thi was the most uncomfortable experince we ever had and implied the attitude " you had dinner now time ye went". Absolutely astonishing ignorance.

Went for Lunch, while thier was a lot ot staff "working" The whole process was disjointed and lacked clear management. The food varied from good to average, the portion sizes were small, my kids meal was the same as a adult. Mixed up a drinks order twice and food came at different times and mine without veg until i asked

Hi Winterfair. Based upon what I paid, I would suggest that the price quoted to you is a room rate for two people and not a per person rate. If you are still unsure, contact the hotel for confirmation. I found them very helpful and friendly people
