Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

If you are anywhere in the Roscommon area you should stay at the Ross House. The rooms are lovely and very spacious. Theresa makes you feel right at home. We were delayed by a day due to a tire blowout and when I called her the first thing she said was, "I hope everyone is okay!" Add to it all a great breakfast and you will be completely satisfied.

Teresa is fantastic host. Warm and friendly from the start and nothing too much trouble. Helped with explaining the locality and directed us to an excellent restaurant The breakfast was excellent with plenty to eat and nothing too much trouble. Cooked fresh and to order brilliant. The rooms are a good size with the bathroom having lots of lovely hot water.. Would definitely stay here again and are looking forward to doing so

Ross House B&B has to be the cleanest place we've ever stayed!! Terrie was amazingly accommodating for our overnight (too short) stay. This was a last minute trip to run the Inaugural Roscommon Marathon! We arrived at B&B late afternoon, Terrie met us opening her front house door. Visited as she showed us to our beautiful room & asked what special foods we'd like prior to running the 26.2 miles the next morning. Not only did she comply, she woke up at 5:30am to have it ready for us, said Good Morning then went back to sleep!!!!! Come on.....how awesome is that?!! After the marathon we had 45 minutes to shower, pack up & drive back to Dublin for our flight out. She had yummies waiting for us when we arrived after our marathon adventure! Totally recommend & we will stay

My Boyfriend and I stayed here as we were attending a local wedding. Teresa was a wonderful, welcoming host. She offered us tea after showing us to our clean, tidy and bright room. Teresa also drove us into town although we were happy to get a taxi! She went above and beyond during our stay at the Ross House B&B, even returned my phone when I left it in her car. The breakfast was delicious, a lovely fry up! Can't recommend this B&B highly enough!

Stayed for a few nights at this very nice B& B. The host was friendly and very helpful. The room was very clean, tidy and well presented. Breakfast was very tasty and enjoyable with plenty on offer; especially nice soda bread (which I hadn't tried before). Location is good, not far from town, and quiet enough for a good night's sleep.

Teresa was very welcoming and accommodating for me and my husband. We flew in on the red eye and arrived in Roscommon by car around 8:30 am. Teresa allowed us to check in at that time so we could have a quick nap and adjust to the time change. It was very quiet to nap at that time. We then took the short 10 minute walk to the town center to explore for the afternoon and evening before return for the night. With the time change and our earlier nap we sleep later than intended and missed the agreed upon breakfast time, but again, Teresa accommodated us and served us a full Irish breakfast in the dining room before we checked out. She was helpful with sharing maps of the area and hiking suggestions, as we were in Ireland to hike. Would definitely stay again!

I surprised my mum for her birthday on a trip to Roscommon where we have family history and Teresa and Gerrys B&B was the perfect location! We arrived earlier than expected but was welcomed all the same and even given a bigger room than one of the ones we had booked! Such a great attention to detail and cater for your every need, Lovely sized warm rooms and such a welcoming stay ☺️I personally fell in love with the Irish soda bread Teresa laid out with the rest of the perfect selection of breakfast. Close to the town and great advice for the perfect places to go. I hope we return to Ross House again ❤

LOVED, LOVED, LOVED this working horse ranch! Not to be confused with Ross Castle and a completely different experience than Ross Castle. It is not a Ritz or Hilton experience either. It is a lovely and quaint horse ranch with morning views of horses grazing right outside of our window. Incredibly beautiful lake views! With Ross Castle as its neighbor, this ranch had all the rich history (and I am sure many of the same ghosts) as the Castle. The grounds were beautiful with enchanting old architecture. Eleanor and her father Peter were amazingly welcoming. Loved Peter's stories! And Eleanor's husband, whose name I am so sorry to have forgotten, was very hospitable with good stories, too. They really made us feel like we were with family. This a working horse ranch, there is

We arrived late in the evening but received a lovely warm welcome. The rooms were lovely, warm, spacious and clean with everything you needed. We were given tea and biscuits on arrival! The over all house was beautifully decorated and the breakfast in the morning was super. We got a lovely warm welcome and very importantly for us it was very close to Roscommon Arts Centre for our work the next day. They even came to see us perform!!
