We arrived at Ross House B&B on a rainy afternoon and were greeted at the door by the owner Teresa O’Hara, Teresa first showed us to our room on the second floor, the room was large with a full sized bed a writing table and chair and armoire and a TV mounted on the wall. The bathroom had a shower. Our room faced a field with Roscommon Castle in the background, it afforded us the luxury of sleeping with the curtains open We then headed down to the guest dining room for tea and cookies as we were sitting down two more guests arrived and Teresa introduced them to us, they were a very young couple from Germany, we chatted over tea it was a nice start. In the morning we opted for the continental breakfast, Teresa had a large variety of fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals, a choice of…
This is a beautiful building with very nice rooms. Everything is clean and spacious, and our host Theresa made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was included, and we ate in the cosy dining room downstairs with other guests. There was plenty of parking on site.
Teresa, the owner, was so nice. Our room was clean, but a bit small. She apologized for that, but we only booked 2 days prior. Beds were comfortable and breakfast was good. Easy walk to downtown. Very quiet.
We stayed with Teresa for 10 days and it couldn't have been any better. She was a perfect host and breakfast was great. We highly recommend this b&b it was also a great home base for going places around ireland.
Teresa welcomed us into her home and was helpful and attentive. She made us feel at home. We enjoyed our catch up chats over a cuppa tea in the evenings. Breakfast was lovely. The house and rooms were very clean and beds comfortable. perfect location for us to tour the area and town. We stay 3 nights. Next time we would like to stay longer and see more of the area. Thank you for looking after us and providing a warm and welcoming environment.
It was our first day on vacation in Ireland and our first trip to Roscommon. We booked the "Ross House B&B". We found it easily and were greeted by our charming hostess, Teresa, who immediately made us feel at home, offering us a bite to eat and some tea. We went over our agenda with her. She gave us great advice on local restaurants, directions to the sites we came to see, as well as other interesting local sites. The B&B itself is beautiful, the grounds are well manicured and the location, convenient to town. Teresa provided us with daily, delicious Irish breakfasts and even helped us plan an exciting adventure to the Clay Pipe Shop one evening. We will definitely come back to this wonderful B&B and encourage others to book here, as well.
We found this B&B to be very comfortable and perfectly located. We took the train from Dublin and had an easy walk. Teresa is so very friendly and accommodating! She made a great suggestion for dinner, which ended up being our favorite place in the 13 days we were in Ireland! Our room was very comfortable, and the Irish breakfast was unbelievably good! We would definitely stay here again!
Excellent B&B, very central 10 minute walk and you are in town. Room spotless, brilliant host Teresa. Would highly recommend staying here. Ours was a last minute booking and that was no problem. Well located, lovely views and not overlooked by other buildings
If you are anywhere in the Roscommon area you should stay at the Ross House. The rooms are lovely and very spacious. Theresa makes you feel right at home. We were delayed by a day due to a tire blowout and when I called her the first thing she said was, "I hope everyone is okay!" Add to it all a great breakfast and you will be completely satisfied.
Teresa is fantastic host. Warm and friendly from the start and nothing too much trouble. Helped with explaining the locality and directed us to an excellent restaurant The breakfast was excellent with plenty to eat and nothing too much trouble. Cooked fresh and to order brilliant. The rooms are a good size with the bathroom having lots of lovely hot water.. Would definitely stay here again and are looking forward to doing so
