I attended a wedding here at the weekend and left the next day with a sour taste in my mouth. On checking in I found the staff to be very helpful and throughout the entire night the bar staff were extremely pleasant. It was only when we went to go to bed that things began to go downhill. My girlfriend's sister had missed her lift home and was feeling very tired, I suggested she take our key and use our spare bed (I had booked and paid for a double and they gave me a triple). When my girlfriend and I then went to go to bed they wouldn’t allow us to leave the residents bar as there were only two names against our room. I explained the situation but they would not let us leave until we gave them a further 55 Euros. The cost of the room was 110, I don’t believe the pricing

After researching hotels in this area , we eventually decided on the Glencarn Hotel , we got a special deal with no extra accommodation charge for the children. There was something for everyone to do , the men had booked in for a round of golf and were mighty impressed with the new golf course, us ladies took ourselves off to the north to sample some of the shopping bargains we had heard so much about, on returning the children had a ball in the lesuire center. Our package included a 4 course meal in the main restraurant which was very relaxing and the children were able to dine earlier as the hotel kindly arranged a very reliable babysitter for them, so we could we enjoy our meal and later dance to Doninic Kirwan. All over everyone seem to get what they came for and we will

Stopped off at this hotel often, but recently it has gone downhill big time, on entering the bar where they serve food, the floor wos covered with lots of chips tomatoes and other bits on the carpet, we proceded to sit at an area where we thought was ok, but our table was dity, I went p to ask for a menu as no one was making any atempt to come to us, we ordered our food, the lady rought down the wrapped cutlery walked away and still didn't clean the table I then went over to another young lady who I asked would she mind cleaning the table which she did,the starters arrived,my husband orered soup which wos fine but I ordered garlic mushrooms, rubber in your mouth! when the main courses arrived it was reheated in microwave as it was stuck hard around the edge of the dishes and a

Needed a well deserved break after christmas and new year. Had heard good reports about the Glencarn Hotel so we decided to book in for the weekend. They had a great special offer available for two nights Bed & Breakfast and 1 Evening Meal and this also included full use of the hotels leisure facilities. We booked in for the friday and saturday night. there was great entertainment on the friday night with music in the lounge and then big band dancing in the function room. we had a great time and were so well looked after. All the staff were so helpful which made our stay very pleasant.

We traveled from Donegal to Dublin Airport and decided to stop at Glencarn Hotel for lunch. Our driver suggested the location and, since we were not familiar with the area, we agreed. I was very upset at the service we received. My husband and I ordered dinner and we were kept waiting for at least 45 minutes before we were served. We asked for the manager after receiving our dinner because our dinner was not what we ordered. She approached us with a very abrupt manner and pointed her finger at my husband saying he was wrong and he received exactly what he ordered. We were so taken aback, we stood up and left. I was surprised someone with such an attitude was made manager. We will never go to this location again.
