Stayed in the Glencarn on Thurs 15th of August and had a lovely night. Staff are very friendly and seem happy in their jobs. Cassie at reception got us checked in quickly and directed us to our rooms and then advised us of the dining arrangements in the spacious Temple bar. We had a light lunch which was excellent, chunky chips to die for and a large pot of tea and a toasted sandwich which took us nicely through the afternoon. We had an evening meal in the bar which was scrumptious and we stayed there until midnight washing it down with drinks from the bar served by friendly and efficient staff. The rooms are spotless clean and represent good value for money, bed gave a restful repose and the bathroom was of a decent size with everything functioning perfectly and also…
We were over for a few days to visit family but didn't want to put them out by staying with them so decided to book into the Glen instead, and we were very happy we did so. The staff are friendly and accommodating, allowing us to store our luggage both on check-in and check-out. The hotel seems to be in the middle of refurbishment (nothing heavy, just some painting here and there) but it's got lovely decoration and the rooms are perfect for the price. The food's fantastic too! Thanks to all the staff :)
Stayed here for one night. It was a cheap deal. Rooms are clean, but bathrooms a bit on the shabby side. The bathroom door barely closed. Leisure Centre is not up to scratch - very outdated and shabby. Plunge pool closed and jacuzzi was cold. Lasted 3 minutes in jacuzzi and had to get out because both my husband's eyes and mine were stinging. Breakfasts were excellent. Not my cup of tea at all. I wont be back.
Had a family reunion there very nice staff happy and friendly very good spar to relax in good food and loved the soda bread Plus your in the town if you want a little walk around and check out the bars

Louise Clinch deserves particular mention for methodically dealing with all the points raised in my stream of emails and a special ‘shout-out’ for the chefs who put together a feast fit for all dietary requirements - vegan guests commented on the amazing selection of food available to them - I was astounded. Fantastic value for a superb menu . The Castle suite was perfect, the tables beautifully presented, the staff were all professional and friendly - it was a party/evening my family and I will always remember. Special thanks to Louise, the chefs (a pleasure…
