We spent 4 nights at Lisanisk House. The landlady Rosaline was very friendly and welcoming and happy to provide a cuppa at the drop of a hat. Rosaline asked us what we would like for breakfast the previous evening and the time we would like it served. It was ready within 10 mins of our arrival at the breakfast room,... More

Stayed for one night myself, partner and 2 young children. Rooms are basic, with a nice full Irish breakfast. The gardens and lake are beautiful with a small playground for young kids and loads of space to play. Fishing was good. I cannot say enough about the host rosealeen, an absolutely amazing lady. Cannot do enough for her guests. Town... More

I stayed here in 2007. A quaint little place, run by a friendly lady who force fed me a large fried breakfast and enough cups of tea to drown me, as soon as I arrived. I also found the owner's local knowledge exceptional, such as providing accurate coordinates to the location of her husband's burial ground. Unfortunately, I left my... More

Stayed here as we were attending a wedding at the Nuremore Hotel. Room was beautiful and breakfast was delicious. Orla even gave us a lift over to the Nuremore that afternoon - first class. Thanks very much Rosaleen. John and Niamh

We have stayed here a few times in last few years, it is spotlessly clean, lots of room, comfy beds, and the owner Rosaleen is just such a lovely lady, had the fire lighting on eve we arrived a few wks ago when we went up from Cork to visit our uncle and his wife in Carrick. The grounds are... More

This place is in a gorgeous location, beside a lake with a deck. Great greens garden for kids to run around. Not modern in style but quaint in style and your hostess Roseleen is great. No ask is to much :) 5 min walk from Carrickmacross town centre and same other way to Nuremore Hotel. This gorgeous place is an... More

The owner of this B & B is so nice- she really made our stay. She was so accommodating, insisting we bring in an extra bed for my son (he would have been fine sleeping on the floor). She was charming and attentive, always asking if we wanted more. Very nice breakfast, and she even packaged up egg sandwiches for... More

This is a great B&B, that's very conveniently located beside the Nuremore for weddings. Rosaleen was ver helpful and accommodating and even though I was late getting up, she kept breakfast for me and couldn't do enough. I'd recommend this B&B. very relaxed and comfortable.

I spent a week experiencing Rosaleen's welcoming hospitality. Lisanisk House is beautifully located on the historic Lisanisk Lake, well known by local and visiting fishermen, and is situated peacefully away from the town centre but only by a few minutes' walk. The B&B is situated at the back of the property, so doesn't have views of the lake from the... More
